Yes it includes the hiking tour to Lost City. However if you cant do this part we can also customize this program to fit your travel ideas.

Would I be disqualified from the Colombia Highlights tour on account of my age?

If you were able to do all hikes mentioned here, we are sure you are able to take this tour. We normally suggest the age due to most people conditions, but again if you feel you can do it, for us it is not a problem.

I am teacher for a school in Norway. Me and my class will be visiting Colombia an Ecuador for about three and a half or four weeks in January/February 2024. Our group will be around 16-20 persons. My question is about transport in Colombia and Ecuador. We are looking for a reliable and cheap company to drive us around. We have quite a tight budget, but we hope you can help. That would make it much easier and safer than using public busses with a group.

Our daily rate for a bus big enough for 20 people is usd 330 + lodging to the driver and his meals. We can set the rate if you have more precise travel plans.

Could you please advise if it is possible to pair this traveler with another solo traveler in order to share a double accommodation?

We took an 18-day guided tour in Colombia with GuidEcuador. Three days exploring the Caño Cristales area based out of La Macarena was our favorite part of the trip. It is spectacularly beautiful and very unique! In Bogotá, we had lots of fun on the city bike tour, and seeing the city from the top of Monserrate is not to be missed, either! Other highlights during our tour were the hike in Tayrona Park, seeing the wax palms in Cocora Valley, climbing the rock at El Peñol which provided a terrific view of the area, seeing all the colorful zocalos in Guatapé, a very informative and fun tour in Medellín, and some unique experiences getting to Cartagena that weren't planned! Colombia is a huge and very interesting country and we enjoyed the sampling! The local guides in different areas we visited were a tremendous asset. The Lost City Trek was hard for me (at age 76), but with great support from the guides and the others in our group, plus riding a mule on 2 stretches and a moto for the final descent, I made it!Show more
