Following breakfast, you'll spend the day walking through historic Tashkent. Tashkent to Samarkand
After breakfast, you'll board a train heading to Samarkand for about 3 hours, passing through Syrdarya and Jizzakh provinces. You'll arrive in the afternoon, check into your hotel, and grab lunch. Following some rest, you'll head to the Paper Mills Factory to watch traditional mulberry paper being made, then tour Afrasiyob Museum and Ulugbek's Observatory dating back to 1428-1429. Dinner at a local restaurant finishes the day.

Once in Bukhara, you'll check in, visit the Chor Minor memorial, and have dinner at a local restaurant.

Bukhara to Mary

After border procedures, you'll continue through Turkmenabat to Mary, roughly 4.5 hours total, crossing the Floating Bridge and moving through the Kara Kum Desert. You'll check in and have dinner once you arrive.

After breakfast, you'll drive 75 miles to Koneurgench, the former capital of the Khorezmshahs.
