I have wanted to visit India for a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed my 10 day tour. My driver, Ravi, did an excellent job of navigating the crazy traffic. The vehicle was comfortable and he would check to make sure I was as well (asking about the air conditioning level and if I had water). When he needed to stop to rest or stretch (because he was doing a lot of driving!) most times he'd find a place where I could have tea. He assisted with hotel check-ins and I had his contact information in case I needed anything. The local city guides were all knowledgeable and provided a great deal of information. My favourite guides were Hilal (Agra) and Vijay Gupta (Jiapur). They went at a nice pace (didn't feel rushed) and were kind enough to stop in the shade (where possible) to give their explanations. I would recommend reviewing your itinerary ahead of time and then talk to your guide to make sure you don't miss something you really want to see. I had something on my itinerary from TourRadar one day that the guide did not and we were able to adjust the plan. All of the properties were clean and comfortable and some quite unique. One property wasn't quite "up to par" - nothing wrong with it, but just not as nice. And be sure to have reliable mobile service as I did encounter issues with the wifi in a few places. This is the first time I've done a private tour. I felt quite privileged to have my own driver and city guides. But, I will say, toward the end I was missing the opportunity to talk with other travelers over meals/in the evening. That is a personal preference, but something I wanted to point out as a consideration if you are also a solo traveler. Because of language and cultural issues, communication wasn't always 100% clear (in hotels, etc) - that is to be expected with traveling in a place where I don't speak the language. But it never had a major impact on my trip - so if you are concerned about that, don't worry.Show more

Visa

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 6th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 6th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with The Imperial Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
