The tour was a quick snapshot of different areas of Tunisia. We had previously done a day trip of Bella Regis and Dougga, which are a must but this tour did not cover. We also did a separate trip of Chemika, Tamirza oasis and Mides canyon, which was cheaper and far more scenic than the optional tour offered as part of the trip. As relates to this trip, the driver was good and the guide Ezzedine was knowledgeable although very serious. He rarely laughed but pointed out the sights we covered at the end to demonstrate what we had seen and reinforce how important the tip was. The hotels were fine as were the daily buffets but far from city center. In our view, it was a mistake to not stay in Sousse within walking distance of the Medina and other sights instead placing us far away in some beach resort just as it was silly to walk through a marina in the area. For us who like history and art, the Bardo and El Djem (both the amphitheater and museum) were the highlights.Show more

Radhi our tour guide is an old school gentleman very knowledgeable. We enjoyed all the places we visited. The Roman amphitheater in El Jem is stunning. Tozeur is a very pretty city. The optional tour to Chekiba Oasis, Mos Espa Star Wars film site and the camel ride were fun though I find the price 190USD per person a bit steep. The hotels are decent though it should be one star lower really. All the meals were provided - buffet mainly. The best meal we had was lunch in Tunis the last day....grilled fish not buffet for once. Tunisia is a beautiful country full of potiental and soul. The people are friendly and helpful. We can really feel their hospitality and warmth wherever we go.... 9/25 - I landed in Tunis in the evening so the airport pick up was outsourced to a third party. After I got thru customs, the driver was not readily available. It took about 15/20 mins for someone to arrive. Then after that it took about an hour for the driver to gather everyone and finally got on the road. I arrived to the hotel in Hammamet. The hotel did not have my voucher confirmation for the room. I had a hard time getting in touch with someone from the company. The hotel staff was understanding, so they actually let me check in and dine (without the voucher). The voucher was not presented until that next morning when the actual tour guide arrived to the hotel. 9/26 - I check out of the hotel at 7am. A man approaches me at the reception desk and asked if I was doing a tour today. I said yes. And he said he was my guide. He said we were waiting on the diver. He asked my name and I asked him if he had something with my name on it to ensure my safety and that I was leaving the hotel with the correct person. He did not have any documents confirming my name. So I asked if he had ID. Luckily his identification match the name provided by the tour company via teh TourRadar app. I recommend that the guides have their ID visible when meeting up with the traveler the first time. I happened to be solo on this tour and for safety reasons, particulaly as a woman, something visible to signify that the guide operating with this company and ID is important. 9/27 - Palm Hotel had no WiFi in the rooms 9/28 - Hotel put me in a suite but the toilet kept flooding. Dinner time at the buffet was like the Hunger Games. 9/29 - Last day of the tour was spent touring Tunis. Overall, I would say that I enjoyed the tour. Tunisia is a great country. I learned a lot. I was not particularly happy with the buffet style as each and every hotel, but I guess that how the company can keep the price of this tour at a reasonable price point. The tour guide, Ezzedine, was very knowledgeable. I did feel safe with the driver and guide as a solo traveler throughout the tour. I just wish that in the beginning it was apparent who the guide was, as it made the beginning of this tour awkward.Show more

Comprehensive tour, very good driver and knowledgeable guide (although his enthusiasm for his subject often made him yell rather loudly, so we had to regularly remind him to speak at normal volume!). Some of the hotels did not really live up to their 4-5 star ratings: tired, a bit grubby in places, unreliable wifi, missing basin plugs, etc. The vehicle was very comfortable. We were surprised and annoyed at having to pay 350 dinars each for two short extra trips (to Chebika oasis and to Camel’s Neck rock formation and Star Wars film set), and felt the Camel’s Neck excursion was definitely not worth the money. Most of the hotels were several km out of town, and we would have preferred to stay in 3 star hotels in town centres, for a lower tour cost. Overall, we have enjoyed Tunisia very much, especially the friendly and helpful people.Show more

I would rate my tour between Okay and Good. My guide and driver were excellent! I just thought the itinerary was not good. One for example, the stop at the Star Wars motel. That should not be considered an attraction, to look over a hotel that took all of 10 minutes.But possibly just a stop. Another example would be, being charged extra,$130 to drive in the desert sand in the SAME vehicle that we were using the whole tour. Explanation of this was, the excursion company couldn’t be used that is usually offered this. Totally didn’t make any sense. I was not aware of this ahead of time, had I known of this I would not have gone because of the expense. The hotel accommodations were all large hotels with buffets for the included meals. My guide was very knowledgeable about Tunisa and its history and made for a pleasant experience.Show more

In regard to the optional excursion in the South, it is arranged on the spot because the price really depends on the number of participants and availability of the vehicle. I checked with the guide and it seems you were the only participant and were interested in doing the full tour to the Star Wars site in Ong Jmel as well as the oasis of Chebika, which he proposed to you for130$ because you were the only participant. There is a minimum number of participants required by our usual supplier of this excursion, and when it is not reached we provide the service ourselves because it would be more expensive with the other provider (requires payment for empty seats) and running the excursion ourselves comes with extra costs that it is priced the way it was in your case. Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Tunisie Voyages. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Tunisie Voyages will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Tunisie Voyages" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
