I am planning on getting to Tunis a few days early to explore and experience Tunis on my own and leaving a day later. I will be staying at a hotel near the Carthage ruins. Is it possible to be picked up and dropped off from my hotel, rather than the airport? Or will I need to take a shuttle to the airport to be picked up?

I am very interested in getting familiar with the Sahara, Bedouin and Berber cultures and history. I saw this tour goes to Douz and Tozeur, and I was wondering if those areas have additional excursions or opportunities to experience and learn more while we are there?

On 5th day, what time will we finish the trip. Can we catch the flight at 6:10pm to Algers?

According to the program, on the last day we will depart from the hotel in Sousse for Tunis to visit Carthage and Sidi Bou Said + Lunch - Therefore, the end of the visits is estimated around 14H00

The transfer from the airport to the hotels will be a shared transfer, meaning you will be accompanied by other guests during the pick-up from the airport to the hotels located in Sousse or Hammamet. You have the option to request a private transfer from the airport to the hotel. In this case, we will provide you with a vehicle and a dedicated driver, subject to an additional cost. Furthermore, as you wish to depart one day after the end of the tour, we can book an additional night at the hotel for you.

Can you confirm if this tour will be going ahead. As then I can book the tour and flights. Also could you please give me a quote for 1 night pre tour and 2 nights post tour, or if you prefer I can book this accommodation myself.

Would it be possible to have a day tour before heading to Hammemet ? I was wondering if possible to do a paid day tour of the Pardo National Musem and also including Douglas ? If so what would be the price be ?

I am considering this trip with my girlfriend but want to make sure there is no problem travelling and staying in the hotels together as an unmarried couple.

I recently completed a fantastic five-day tour of Tunisia with Tunisia Voyages. I found the company through TourRadar and truly lucked out—they exceeded every expectation. Over the course of the trip, we visited an impressive range of destinations: Hammamet, Kairouan, Tozeur, Douz, Matmata, El Djem, Sousse, Sidi Bou Saïd, Carthage, and Tunis. I especially appreciated the diversity of what we saw. Every stop offered something different, and each place was both beautiful and fascinating in its own way. Kairouan, one of the holiest cities in Islam, amazed me with its ancient medina and Great Mosque. Tozeur and Douz gave me a taste of the Sahara, with palm oases and dramatic desert landscapes. Matmata’s traditional troglodyte homes were unlike anything I’d seen before. The Roman amphitheater at El Djem—one of the best-preserved in the world—was jaw-dropping in scale. And wandering through Sidi Bou Saïd with its blue-and-white architecture felt like stepping into a postcard. Carthage offered layers of ancient history, while Tunis combined modern energy with rich cultural sites. What made the tour truly exceptional, though, was the team. My guide, Anis, and my driver, Jamal, adapted the itinerary to my interests and pace, whether I wanted to shop, linger somewhere longer, or move on quickly. I especially loved the Roman mosaics at the Bardo Museum in Tunis, so we spent extra time exploring them. I jokingly started calling Anis “the professor,” because his knowledge of Tunisia’s history and culture felt endless. Both he and Jamal were not only skilled at their jobs, but also genuinely warm, thoughtful, and fun to be around. I have only good things to say about Tunisia Voyages—the tour was perfect. My only complaint is that it went by far too quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a well-organized, engaging introduction to Tunisia. I truly hope I’ll have the chance to return to this beautiful country again.Show more

The tour was a quick snapshot of different areas of Tunisia. We had previously done a day trip of Bella Regis and Dougga, which are a must but this tour did not cover. We also did a separate trip of Chemika, Tamirza oasis and Mides canyon, which was cheaper and far more scenic than the optional tour offered as part of the trip. As relates to this trip, the driver was good and the guide Ezzedine was knowledgeable although very serious. He rarely laughed but pointed out the sights we covered at the end to demonstrate what we had seen and reinforce how important the tip was. The hotels were fine as were the daily buffets but far from city center. In our view, it was a mistake to not stay in Sousse within walking distance of the Medina and other sights instead placing us far away in some beach resort just as it was silly to walk through a marina in the area. For us who like history and art, the Bardo and El Djem (both the amphitheater and museum) were the highlights.Show more

Our 5 days tour was excellent. We love that it's a private tour with the driver, guide and the 2 of us. Hamza is an excellent driver, very smart and likable. Radhi our tour guide is an old school gentleman very knowledgeable. We enjoyed all the places we visited. The Roman amphitheater in El Jem is stunning. Tozeur is a very pretty city. The optional tour to Chekiba Oasis, Mos Espa Star Wars film site and the camel ride were fun though I find the price 190USD per person a bit steep. The hotels are decent though it should be one star lower really. All the meals were provided - buffet mainly. The best meal we had was lunch in Tunis the last day....grilled fish not buffet for once. Tunisia is a beautiful country full of potiental and soul. The people are friendly and helpful. We can really feel their hospitality and warmth wherever we go.... 9/25 - I landed in Tunis in the evening so the airport pick up was outsourced to a third party. After I got thru customs, the driver was not readily available. It took about 15/20 mins for someone to arrive. Then after that it took about an hour for the driver to gather everyone and finally got on the road. I arrived to the hotel in Hammamet. The hotel did not have my voucher confirmation for the room. I had a hard time getting in touch with someone from the company. The hotel staff was understanding, so they actually let me check in and dine (without the voucher). The voucher was not presented until that next morning when the actual tour guide arrived to the hotel. 9/26 - I check out of the hotel at 7am. A man approaches me at the reception desk and asked if I was doing a tour today. I said yes. And he said he was my guide. He said we were waiting on the diver. He asked my name and I asked him if he had something with my name on it to ensure my safety and that I was leaving the hotel with the correct person. He did not have any documents confirming my name. So I asked if he had ID. Luckily his identification match the name provided by the tour company via teh TourRadar app. I recommend that the guides have their ID visible when meeting up with the traveler the first time. I happened to be solo on this tour and for safety reasons, particulaly as a woman, something visible to signify that the guide operating with this company and ID is important. 9/27 - Palm Hotel had no WiFi in the rooms 9/28 - Hotel put me in a suite but the toilet kept flooding. Dinner time at the buffet was like the Hunger Games. 9/29 - Last day of the tour was spent touring Tunis. Overall, I would say that I enjoyed the tour. Tunisia is a great country. I learned a lot. I was not particularly happy with the buffet style as each and every hotel, but I guess that how the company can keep the price of this tour at a reasonable price point. The tour guide, Ezzedine, was very knowledgeable. I did feel safe with the driver and guide as a solo traveler throughout the tour. I just wish that in the beginning it was apparent who the guide was, as it made the beginning of this tour awkward.Show more

Comprehensive tour, very good driver and knowledgeable guide (although his enthusiasm for his subject often made him yell rather loudly, so we had to regularly remind him to speak at normal volume!). Some of the hotels did not really live up to their 4-5 star ratings: tired, a bit grubby in places, unreliable wifi, missing basin plugs, etc. The vehicle was very comfortable. We were surprised and annoyed at having to pay 350 dinars each for two short extra trips (to Chebika oasis and to Camel’s Neck rock formation and Star Wars film set), and felt the Camel’s Neck excursion was definitely not worth the money. Most of the hotels were several km out of town, and we would have preferred to stay in 3 star hotels in town centres, for a lower tour cost. Overall, we have enjoyed Tunisia very much, especially the friendly and helpful people.Show more

You have the option to request a private transfer from the airport to the hotel. In this case, we will provide you with a vehicle and a dedicated driver, subject to an additional cost. Furthermore, as you wish to depart one day after the end of the tour, we can book an additional night at the hotel for you.
