What altitudes can I expect?

You can expect to experience altitudes from 10,000 feet up to 17,000 feet. We recommend staying a few days in Cusco before your tour to adjust to the altitude, particularly if you are prone to altitude sickness. Please consult your doctor if you are concerned with the altitude.

All food provided on your tour will be local Peruvian style dishes to fully embrace your trip to Peru! Please notify your Travel Expert of any dietary requirements that you may have when booking your tour to ensure Flashpacker Connect can accommodate your request.

No Flashpacker Connect have got you covered! Trekking in high altitude can be dangerous and because of this your guides will always carry a proper first aid kit along with emergency oxygen for you to use if you feel unwell.

We did this trek with FlashpackerConnect as a family with two teenage boys. The landscapes and views were amazing and we saw wildlife on the way. The crew led by Joaquin, our guide, and Charlie, our ever cheerful cook, took great care of us. The hike was tough with up to 10 miles hike a day plus elevation change in a day over, at times, quite steep and tricky trails at between 4500 and 5000m. The team helped us a lot and made it an unforgettable experience. The boys will certainly re,e,bet their highest ever soccer game at 4500m (about 14,000ft).

Payment information
- For any tour departing before March 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after March 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with FlashpackerConnect. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and FlashpackerConnect will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "FlashpackerConnect" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
