Could you please clarify the difference between 'Standard' and 'Premium' hotel options? As a 40 yr old female solo traveler planning to join in July or August, I'm curious about the typical age range of participants on this trip. Any tips for solo travelers would also be appreciated!

The hotels for this trip is upgraded compared to our usual classic trips. The classic trips are generally rates as 3 star and this wellness trip is generally rated 3 1/2-4 star, so slightly better hotels. The general demographics for these trips are solo female travellers between 30-70 but each trip can be different, depending on who has booked. The trips are sold on a twin share basis, which means you would be paired up with someone of the same gender or you can choose to pay a single supplement, if you would like to have your own.

Are we able to share a room (with 2 beds in the room) If so, does this change the cost?

Most of our tours are based on twin-share rooming. This means that it is two travellers per room. If you book with your sister then you will be roomed together.

How strenuous are the hikes and the yoga?

The Yoga will be for beginner/ intermediate participants. Some tours may include light hiking, biking, rafting, or kayaking in addition to walking. This tour has a Physical Rating of 3 - Average (out of 5).

Would we see the northern lights from these places?

You may be able to see the Northern Lights from anywhere in Iceland but there's no guarantee of it unfortunately. It's hit and miss when they will be visible for tourists.

Is there a tour where I can see and touch a glacier, see the northern lights, sit in a hot spring?

This tour includes the opportunity to go on glacier hikes and visit the hot springs, of course the Northern Lights is always dependent on the time of year and the visibility in the sky.

To me this trip was about exploring this epic country of fire and ice, and I got that. The itinerary lets you appreciate how Iceland is a land of wild beauty, seemingly endless space, and a land of contrasts. One day you hike up an icy glacier, the next it's a volcano with cracks still steaming from its most recent eruption.   July departures: 2025-07-13 to 2025-07-19 (on request) with travellers born between late 1960s-1990s (most in 1970s-1980s). 2025-07-20 to 2025-07-26 with travellers born between 1960s-2000s (Most in 1980s-1990s). We have one August departure: 2025-08-24 to 2025-08-30, which is not on request and single occupancy option is available. Current travellers are born between 1950s-1960s.
