This was a great way to see and stay in both Sapa and Ha Long Bay, two destinations in the north that I really wanted to see and are also somewhat tricky to get to on your own. - The tour coordinators were very kind and accommodating, helping to build an itinerary that fit my travel dates. - As with most tours in Asia, this was a couple of separate tours/tour companies strung together - meaning you will be with different guides and guests throughout your journey. The coordination between them was good, with only one mishap where we ended up at the wrong hotel in Sapa. - Most of the travel was comfortable: a lie flat sleeper bus to Sapa, a van with large reclining seats (aka a limousine) back to Hanoi, a limousine bus to Sapa, and a regular bus back to Hanoi. - Accommodations were also decent! 3* hotels with free breakfast in Sapa and Hanoi, and the boat (we were on Swam Cruise) was great. - The trek in Sapa was really tough! Just be prepared. - Ha Long Bay was beautiful and the cruise staff very accommodating! Nobody mentions or acknowledges it, but the cruise industry there is taking quite a toll on the environment there, leaving trash behind, etc. - Food was not memorable for me, since I prefer local specialties and street food. Just know the food on this tour is not representative of the actual cuisine of Vietnam! Also note that this is a consequence of the locations (Sapa, HLB) and not the tour coordinators themselves.Show more
