    Asked on January 14th, 2026

Could you please come up with your proposal for two trips to Latin America for two people. We are interest in both trips, but which one comes first depends on geopolitical situation. We are interested in nature, culture, history, ethnography. 1) 12 days in three countries: Colombia (about 8 days), Uruguay and Paraguay (4 days). Colombia: Bogota, Armenia, Medelin, Carthagena + your suggestions. Uruguay and Paraguay - your suggestions. The order does not matter. What matters is the logistics. The less time spent moving from one place to the other the better. We will be flying from/to London. 2) Guayana, Surinam, French Guiana and Trinidad and Tobago. Maybe 10-12 days max? We are well traveled people. So, we need something very impressive and unique for each place. Accommodation should be above average. We do not need the most expensive 5-star hotels everywhere we go but decently priced 4-5-star hotels would be our preference. Having said that if we need to visit a unique place where only basic accommodation is available, we are OK with that. Approximate dates are end of April- 10-11 of May.

I can recommend that we focus on the Colombian region for 12 days, covering all the points of interest you've mentioned (such as dates, hotels and destinations). Along with that, I'll present you with the proposal exactly as you desire it; I know that it will be a unique experience for you!

Is there a specific activity you would like to do?

      TravelerWritten January 2026

I am well aware that those three countries are far away from each other. I am hoping you could put together an itinerary that would work nicely for me.

We do not want to spend 12 days in Colombia, Please sea my original request. 8 days Colombia, 4 days Uruguay and Paraguay.

And what about the second trip: Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana.?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten January 2026

I will work on your proposal including these countries and will gladly detail your incredible itinerary, considering the best routes and unique activities, so you can make the most of each destination.

      Crystal

      TravelerWritten January 2026

Sorry if I was not very clear with my request. 12 days actual tour. That does not include 3 days flights. 1) To Latina America, 2) between Medellin (or else) to Asuncion or Montevideo 3) Back home.
That should give us more time in Medellin (where I would love to include the Piedra del Pe\u00f1ol), Paraguay and Uruguay. +1 one day in every location.
Also it would be good to see suggested flights between those locations.

What about the second trip I keep on talking about to the Guyanas? Does your company organise this kind of trips?

    • C

      Crystal

      TravelerWritten January 2026

What would be your price if we stay in these hotels for example?
      Sofitel Victoria Regia Bogota
      Hotel Charleston Santa Teresa Catagena
      Hotel Boutique Sazagua Pereira
      Hotel Marriott Medellin
      Hyatt Centric Montevideo
      Sheraton Asunci\u00f3n Hotel & Conventio

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten January 2026

As you requested, I have included the 5-star hotels, in addition to adding 1 extra day for Uruguay and Paraguay.

Given the logistics and international flight connections between the 3 destinations, I have included the start of your itinerary in Uruguay, so at the end of your experience in Paraguay (day 7 - departure from Paraguay to Colombia) its more comfortable to connect to Colombia at the same day, arriving in Colombia in the evening. This way we avoid excessively long connections or flights.

For your additional activity in Uruguay, I have included a visit to the Bouza Winery, where you will enjoy one of the best wine experiences, in addition to including your lunch on this day. In Paraguay you will have a cultural visit to the town of Itá, Yaguarón, Piribebuy, Caacupé and San Bernardino, Lake Ypacaraí, where you will learn about its history and its charms, this attraction is known as the gold circuit, an amazing experience to enrich your adventure.

With your itinerary in Colombia in mind, I've added one more day in Medellin, where you can visit the Peñol rock, as you requested.

Also, I want to let you know that all your activities will be private with a bilingual guide.

Price per person: $ 7900 USD

Dear Anna, I would love to hear your feedback regarding this itinerary. If everything is okay, we would be ready to move on to the next step. To be honest, the company cannot plan the Guayanas part.I will be more than happy to assist you and ensure everything for your upcoming trip.

      Crystal

      TravelerWritten January 2026

I did have a quick look at the itinerary. In general it's OK. I might change some small details but it is pretty standard program that covers the highlights of the region. I need more time (busy now) to figure out my international flights and your pricing. Also you are avoiding my question about Guyanas. I need to have options. It might not be your area of responsibility but Tour Radar advertises this trip.

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten January 2026

As your local expert, I'm delighted to know that this itinerary will be special for you. As you know, we can modify any activity you'd like, since it's a tailor-made itinerary just for you.

For the trip to Guyana, as I mentioned in my last message, as a Responsible Travel company we cannot help you with the destination planning of Guyana. Therefore, I would be very happy to assist you with the planning for Uruguay, Paraguay, and Colombia, among other countries in South America.

I will definitely not fly all the way from London just for Guyana only. Regarding Colombia. Give me some time please. I need to compare your itinerary and prices with other tour operators. And be 100% sure about my dates.

Thank you so much for your reply,

    Asked on December 13th, 2022

Is this a self guided trip? The brochure reads as if I do the driving: example Day 3 "you will drive around town" Day 4: "you will drive to Coyhaique" So, is there a guide doing the driving or am I doing the driving. Are there guides with me for each segment of the trip, or is it my responsibilty to get from one place to another? I am confused. Can you help?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten December 2022

Regarding this tour, this is a group tour for a minimum of 3 passengers. You will have a private driver Guide who will drive you from Puerto Montt to Caleta Tortel. From Caleta Tortel you will take a 2-day Ferry until you Arrive at Puerto Natales where you will have another guide for your activities in Torres del Paine. We don't offer this tour for solo travelers since having a private driver-guide can be pricey for Solo Travelers.

Is this a group tour? How many are in the group? Is it guided? Is there a single supplement? I'm ok with sharing a room with another female traveller.

    Single supplement
    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten December 2022

The price is considered for a Group of 4 since a private driver guides the tour all the time. The price for the whole group of 4 is approximately $6000 if we want to do this same tour just for one person will be around $5000. We can adapt the tour to make it more affordable by joining other groups.

I'd be interested in joining another group doing the tour originally described on the website. The one you listed below is nothing like it. I'll be starting in Santiago so will see that area before going South.

I am looking to spend around 1500 usd for the trip but I have to go on vacation 10-31 and must be back by Nov 19 see what you can do and do I have to get visa ahead of time or upon arrival?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten October 2022

Americans don't need a visa to visit Chile so you are fine with that.

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten October 2022

The final price would be $1700. This tour Includes all the activities, transportation (including flights with an 8kg bag) 4 hotel nights in Coyhaique, and 4 hotel nights in Punta Arenas.
