  Would it be possible to stay in Lhasa for one extra day after the 6-day tour or we would have to leave on the 26th?

    If you stay one extra night in Lhasa, we would need to arrange a separate transfer to the train station, as it will be outside the group schedule. There will also be one additional hotel night. The extra cost would be: Train station transfer: USD 90 (per vehicle). Extra hotel night: USD 60 (room/night). Total additional cost: USD 150. If you prefer, you can also choose to leave with the group on the 26th to avoid this extra cost.

    We will start our trip in Spain on the 9th of August and we will visit Uzbekistan first (9th-20th) and after our best option is to directly fly from Tashkent to Lhasa. Is this a problem? do we need to arrive first in another national airport?

    We both work as civil servants for the European Commission. We don't have any political position, just technical staff, and of course our trip is completely personal and not linked to our jobs. Shall we expect any problem with this? We have read somewhere that Government officials are not allowed in Tibet. I don't think it is our case, but I prefer to check first.

    Taking into account the globally uncertain situation we have nowadays, would we get a refund if our flights are unexpectedly canceled and we have no way of arriving to Lhasa?

    Currently, Lhasa does not have international flights except from Kathmandu, Nepal. So it's not possible to fly directly from Tashkent to Lhasa. You will need to first enter China via another city such as Beijing, Shanghai, or Chengdu, and then take a domestic flight to Lhasa. In this case, there may be a small additional cost for arranging a guide to deliver your Tibet Travel Permit at the transit airport, because normally guests stay one night in a Chinese city before entering Tibet, and we send the permit to the hotel in advance. This way, there would be no extra cost around USD 60.

    As long as you travel with your Spanish passports and your purpose is purely tourism, there will be no problem. The restriction mainly applies to officials traveling for government or political purposes. Based on what you described (technical staff, private trip), you are absolutely fine under the current policy. The only requirement is to follow Chinese laws and travel regulations during your trip.

    Regarding Tibet entry permits - we've got it all covered! All we'll need from you is a copy of your passport. Since you are from Germany you don't need Chinese visa. We will submit the application of Tibet permit one month in advance, it will be issued around 7-5 days before your travel dates.

    The hotel we used is Xining hotel or similar. The hotels are based on double occupancy (twin-bedded rooms) by default. If you prefer a single room or if room sharing isn't possible, a single room supplement is required.

    Our 6 Days Tibet Culture Join-in Tour Lhasa Gyantse & Shigatse doesn't include Mt.Everest, so here you have two options if you want to visit Mt.Everest. Option one: you two take 6 Days Lhasa to Everest Private Tour anytime based on your schedule but with much higher cost, Not highly recommended. Option two: you two join our 8 Days Lhasa to Everest Base Camp Group Tour for our currently already-booked date 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th, 27th, 29th or 31st Oct, can you join one of these available dates?

    There is a note "Solo travellers are matched with a fellow guest of the same gender". My question is - will there be a single supplement required at the last minute when you are unable to match a roommate?

    All our group tour cost are based on 3-star hotel double room for every 2 persons to share, as you are a solo traveler, we will try to find another same sex single traveler to share the double room with you to avoid paying for single supplement. But if there is No another same sex single traveler in this group to share the double room with you, single supplement of this tour $126 for you would be required to pay to stay in single room with big bed in the trip but can pay in Lhasa. Because some are a couple, or two friends to share, or some single travelers prefer to pay single supplement to stay in single room themselves. So we can find such single person to share the double room with you but it's not guaranteed(usually 80% of posibilities), so hope you can kindly understand.

    You will get to know if we already found another same sex single traveler to share the double room with you or not usually 5-6 days before the tour starts, because sometimes we found that single person at last one day, this is possible too. Yes, you can see our opening dates for this tour for June, 9th June is one of opening dates of this tour that you can join, it's guaranteed happening. You can join this tour for 2nd, 9th, 13th, 23rd and 30th June, all these dates are available to join, so please choose the tour departure date accordingly based on your schedule, then book the tour.
