Kashgar to Urumqi
With a local guide, you'll walk through Kashgar's cultural sites, checking out the Animal Bazaar (Sundays only), Id Ghar Mosque, Apa Hoja Mausoleum, and the old town area. Later that evening, you catch a flight to Urumqi.

Urumqi to Turpan
After an hour drive, you'll reach Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) in Mt. Tianshan to take in the mountain scenery. Then it's a 4-hour drive to Turpan, which sits along the ancient Silk Road.

Turpan
Your day focuses on Turpan's Silk Road heritage, visiting the ruins of Gaochang and Jiaohe cities, the Bezklik Grottoes, Eming Minaret, and the Karez Irrigation System. You'll grab lunch at a local Uyghur restaurant.

Turpan to Dunhuang
Early morning, you take a fast train for about 4 hours from Turpan to Liuyuan, then drive roughly 1.5 hours to Dunhuang. By afternoon, you'll head out to the Singing Sand Dunes and Crescent Moon Spring.
