This is an 8-day cycling adventure that starts and ends in Hanoi. You'll explore the capital by bike before heading into the beautiful countryside, cycling through Mai Chau, Pu Luong Nature Reserve, Cuc Phuong National Park, and Ninh Binh. The trip finishes with an overnight cruise in the stunning Ha Long Bay, where you'll also have the opportunity to go kayaking. The trip includes 7 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 dinners, bike hire, an experienced local leader, vehicle support during the cycling sections, all accommodation, and all included activities such as the guided cycling tours, the Ha Long Bay overnight cruise, and kayaking. You'll stay in a mix of comfortable hotels, a traditional local homestay in Mai Chau, and spend one night aboard a boat in Ha Long Bay, giving you a nice variety of experiences throughout the trip.

I wanted to check availability for 1 traveler for your cycling trip on 23rd - 30th November. I'm about 6 feet tall and wanted to confirm if you'll have a bike available for my height? Also, is there single accommodation available? Lastly, how many people do you have on the tour? I noticed there's just 1 spot left.

As of now, we have only 1 spot available and 15 confirmed passengers on the trip departing on 23 November. If you are looking to have an e-bike, we will have to check the availability for a suitable sized bike from our local team. A single supplement can be booked at an additional cost and the Single Supplement on this trip does not include night 3 – Mai Chau, night 4 – Pu Luong & night 6 – O/N on Hanoi Cruise.

Are there any activities planned after breakfast on the last day?

No, there are no planned activities after breakfast, and you are free to leave at any time.

Could you please check if there is a spot on this trip commencing Sunday. I could travel on British passport, so no evisa needed prior to arrival is my understanding. I was offeed an additional $100 discount GBor using Tourradar app for first time. Are you able to offer any further discount. I am solo traveler. Interested in paying addional cost for room to myself.

Unfortunately, we do not have any scheduled departures between 29th March and 4th April, apart from the 30th March departure. However, you can always check our website for similar bike tours that might fit your schedule.

Daily cycling distances: Day 2 - 22 km (14 mi) on flat roads. Day 3 - 57 km (36 mi) uphill and downhill. Day 4 - 46 km (29 mi) with gradual climb. Day 5 - 49 km (30 mi) mostly flat and downhill. Day 6 - 28 km (17 mi) mostly flat and downhill.

The worst thing about the tour was the lack of detail supplied before departure. A dated itinerary with the departure hotel name would have been a no brainer, most of the participants were unsure of whether the accomodation after the initial 6pm meeting was included. It was never explained that we would be sharing rooms in hotels,fair enough in homestays but a bit of a surprise for the hotel stays. Also the tipping part of the trip..the guide was asking for around $800 US from the group for tips, surely the hotels and drivers were getting paid ok? I've rarely seen tipping in Vietnam before. Its an American practice that is offensive to Australians. That's a lot of money in Vietnam. Our guide BB was excellent and read the group well, the mix of electric bikes ensured every one kept up,and apart from the last day the pace was brisk and entertaining. The last day was led by the mechanic at a very boring walking pace that no one appreciated. I would recommend the trip but would like to see the above points addressed for future groups.Show more

- For any tour departing before November 12th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 12th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
