1st Day - Friday 15th May, 2026 - Colombo to Sigiriya - Welcome and Enroute Sightseeing
We'll welcome you at your hotel and then embark on our journey to Sigiriya, where adventure and stunning sights await.
Visit the Golden Cave Temple at Dambulla along the way.
Depending on where the elephants are, you may go on a 4x4 safari in the evening at Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Hurulu Eco National Park.
After a long and tiring day of exploration, if you're looking for some relaxation, you can indulge in the best Ayurvedic herbal massage at a spa conveniently located near the hotel. This rejuvenating experience will help you unwind and refresh, leaving you feeling completely relaxed and revitalized.

2nd Day - Saturday 16th May, 2026 - Sigiriya to Kandy - With Trek to Sigiriya Rock and enroute sightseeing
Wake up early and climb Sigiriya Rock. This is an opportunity to take some amazing pictures of the rock formation and city before the sun becomes too hot. Afterward, head back to your hotel for breakfast and then drive to Kandy.
On the way, we'll stop to visit the ancient Nalanda Gedige, a beautifully preserved site rich in history. Next, we'll explore the Matale Spice Garden (for a brief visit), where you'll get a glimpse of Sri Lanka's renowned spices. After that, as part of your Kandy city tour, we'll visit a Hindu temple, adding a cultural and spiritual touch to the day's journey.
In the evening, view the traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

After breakfast, go to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens and the Gem Museum and Workshop in Kandy before continuing to Nuwara Eliya
Visit Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple, Ramboda Falls, a tea factory, and a tea plantation and Shanthipura View Point along the road.

4th Day - Monday 18th May, 2026 - Nuwara Eliya to Ella - Transfer with Scenic Train Ride
Today, experience the world-famous train journey from Nanu Oya to Ella, renowned as one of the most scenic train rides in the world.
If tickets are secured for the morning train (around 9:00 AM), you will board directly for a breathtaking ride through lush tea plantations, misty mountains, and picturesque valleys.
If tickets are for the afternoon train (before 1:30 PM), you will first explore some highlights of Nuwara Eliya, including the scenic Gregory Lake, the colonial charm of The Grand Hotel, and the historic Nuwara Eliya Post Office, before boarding your train to Ella.
Upon arrival in Ella, enjoy an evening hike up Little Adam's Peak, where you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the hill country.

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, you'll hit the road for Tissamaharama.
Before heading directly to Tissamaharama, we'll stop to explore the famous Nine Arches Bridge, a stunning architectural marvel surrounded by lush greenery. Along the way, we'll also visit the Buduruwagala Temple in Wellawaya, known for its ancient rock carvings and serene atmosphere. After these enriching stops, we'll continue our journey to Tissamaharama.
Evening Yala National Park (Sri Lanka's most popular and biggest marine park) offers a thrilling evening 4x4 safari along the coast of the Indian Ocean.

6th Day - Wednesday 20th May, 2026 - Tissamaharama to Mirissa - Enroute Sightseeing
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we'll embark on our journey to Mirissa, where pristine beaches and coastal beauty await you.
Along the way, we'll make a fascinating stop at a Snake Farm, where you'll have the opportunity to observe various species of snakes and learn about their habitats, behaviors, and the role they play in local ecosystems. It's both informative and thrilling!
If you're interested, you also have the option to enjoy a peaceful boat ride at Tissamaharama Lake—a great way to soak in the natural surroundings. For something more adventurous, we can arrange the Nilwala Crocodile Safari in Matara, offering a close-up view of crocodiles in their natural riverine habitat.
After these exciting experiences, we'll continue our drive to the beautiful beachside town of Mirissa.

Watching whales from Mirissa as early as 6:30 in the morning. You should go back to the hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring Parrot Rock and watching the sunset from Coconut Tree Hill.

8th Day - Friday 22nd May, 2026 - Mirissa to Colombo Airport - Departure
Prepare to say goodbye to Sri Lanka as you have a hearty breakfast at the hotel before checking out. You will be taken to Bandaranaike International Airport, from whence you may continue to your home country.

Climate and seasons:
In the Lowlands, the Climate is generally tropical, with an average temperature of about 27 degrees Celsius in Colombo. In higher elevations, however, it can be cold, with temperatures dropping to as low as 16 degrees Celsius. Bright and Sunny days are the norm and are common even during the height of the Monsoon - climatically, Sri Lanka has no offseason. The southwest monsoon brings rain from May to July to the western, southern, and central regions of the island. At the same time, the northeast monsoon rains occur in the northern and eastern areas in December and January.
