Auburn
You'll make your own way to Auburn, which serves as your entry point to the Clare Valley. Once you arrive, settle in for the evening and head to the Rising Sun Hotel for dinner. The hotel has a solid reputation in the area, so it's a good spot to get oriented and meet other travelers before your cycling days begin.

Clare Valley Cycling
After breakfast, you're on your bike for the day, cycling the Riesling Rail Trail through Clare Valley. The route covers 35 kilometers on mostly flat terrain, so it's manageable even if you're not a serious cyclist. You'll stop at various wineries along the way for tastings, then take a longer lunch break at Skillogalee. From there, continue pedaling into Clare for your overnight stay.

Clare Valley to Auburn
Today you'll take a slightly different route along the Riesling Rail Trail, hitting various cellar doors for tastings. The 30-kilometer ride gets you back to Auburn by evening. Stop for lunch at O'Leary Walker Wines, where you can sit down and take in the valley views while you eat. It's a good way to break up the cycling and end your ride back in Auburn.
