Our first 10 day tour through central India was packed with many temples, tombs, mosques, forts and caves to to see....
Our first 10 day tour through central India was packed with many temples, tombs, mosques, forts and caves to to see. We also spent many hours in our bus in traffic and 3 uncomfortable train rides, always many hours delayed. Two of them lasting more than 12 hours. Our Indian guide Samson was responsible, looked very well after our well-being and did his best under the sometimes difficult circumstances. But, all in all we are grateful to experience everything and are happy to have seen in particular Ajanta caves, Ellora temples and caves, Charminar in Hyderabad, Badami caves, Hampi temples and many,many more including several mosques and forts. We are pleased that Samson looked after you well and managed to handle the transport problems that can occur in India - although it’s very unlucky and unusual for all three trains on the trip to be delayed by so much time. Travelling on Indian trains is generally a great experience, very good for the environment, and, in the case of overnight trains, means that we can cover large distances while sleeping. Given the transport challenges you faced, it is great to hear that you are grateful for experiencing everything on the trip.
