Itinerary
- Day 1
Teresópolis to Três Picos State Park
You'll start at Teresópolis bus station where you're picked up for the transfer to Torres de Bonsucesso base. From there, the hiking begins with a trek to Iron Clothes rock formation, where there's a snack break to catch your breath and take in the surroundings. After that, you'll head to Pedra Entalada for some photos before making your way up to Central Tower for the panoramic views across the park. The descent takes you to Refúgio das Águas, and lunch at a local restaurant gives you a chance to refuel. By evening, you're settled at the mountain shelter where handmade pizzas are on the menu for dinner before you rest for the night.

- Day 2
Valley of Gods and Matchbox Peak
This day takes you hiking through Valley of the Gods toward Dragon's Head viewpoint and the Matchbox formation, also called Stone of Miracles. If you're up for more challenge, the adventurous route involves climbing to the base of Matchbox with safety equipment for an even better look at the valleys and Nova Friburgo peaks. Later you head back to camp for dinner and settle in overnight, giving your legs a break after a full day on the trails.

Valley of Friars to Teresópolis
On your final day, you hike from base camp along the scenic beauty trail, passing by Matchbox again before descending into Valley of Friars. The highlight here is Frades Waterfall, a 10-meter drop with a natural pool surrounded by vegetation and mountain views, which makes for a perfect way to wrap up the expedition. After that, it's the return trip back to Teresópolis to head home.
