Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho
A motorcoach picks you up in Ho Chi Minh City and takes you to My Tho Port where you'll board the AmaDara for your 7-night river cruise. That evening, you'll meet other passengers at a Welcome Dinner while the ship heads toward Cai Be. It's a good chance to settle in and get oriented before the journey really begins.

Cai Be to Sa Dec
You can take a local boat to Cai Be and choose between visiting candy and rice paper workshops or doing a walking tour to the historic Kiet House first, then the workshops. After that, you'll head to Sa Dec to see the local market and the colorful Cao Dai Temple. There's also an option to tour the house of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le, which inspired Marguerite Duras's novel. By evening the ship cruises to Tan Chau.

Tan Chau to Phnom Penh
Your morning starts with a traditional trishaw ride through Tan Chau, a small Mekong River town, stopping at silk-making and rattan mat workshops. You can opt for an active walking tour to Evergreen Island, or take a traditional sampan boat into Vietnam's Tra Su Forest and Sanctuary where you might spot over 70 bird species. Later, the ship crosses the Cambodian border heading toward Phnom Penh.

You'll travel to Oudong, Cambodia's former royal capital and a place of pilgrimage for locals. There's a Buddhist Blessing Ceremony at a monastery, and you can explore on foot or take an active walking tour for panoramic views of the Oudong plain. Later, you'll ride in a tuk tuk through Phnom Penh to see French Colonial architecture, tree-lined boulevards, and Angkorian monuments.

Angkor Ban to Kampong Cham

Later you'll sail to Kampong Cham where you can visit Wat Nokor, an ancient temple complex with a contemporary pagoda inside, or head to the Twin Mountains (Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei). The evening ends with a Farewell Dinner on board.
