On this tour you can expect some hikes that are 3 miles in length round trip, and an accumulated hiking distance of about 5 miles throughout each day. You will have an elevation gain/loss of about 600 feet on these hikes. Yes, you will experience the falls, geysers, wildlife, all the good things that come with visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks!

There is several days hiking on the 8 Day Grand Teton & Yellowstone Explorer. We are quite interested in every aspect of the Tour but are curious as to how much hiking is as we are seniors in our 70s with bad knees. Are there optional activities at the various hiking locations which we could enjoy while other tour members were hiking. If it helps photographers who enjoy landscape photography if this is a viable alternative to hikes

There are always look out points to stay back at. You do not have to continue with the group. This would be a great trip for landscape photography.

You have to be able to hike 3-5 miles a day on this tour. You dont have to do more than a mile at a time. There are look out points you can stay back on if you do not want to go further with the group. The group will catch up with you on the way back in. Unfortunately if your husband is having mobility issues this tour will not be the best fit for him.

We are very interested in this tour for 2026 in August. There are 3 adults & would like a quote for 2 rooms....one double & one single. Also would like recommendations on adding a couple of days on the end for Glacier National Park on our own. We are all in our 70's.
