Dear Michael, Thank you for your feedback. We completely understand how tiring travel delays can be, especially when you're looking forward to reaching your next destination. During your visit, Costa Rica experienced a particularly rainy period, which unfortunately affected travel times in some areas. While these situations are beyond anyone's control, we know they can impact the overall travel experience, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout those unexpected challenges. Thank you for traveling with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Costa Rica for another adventure in the future. All the best, Paola & DS Team

Dear Nicole, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to hear that the itinerary allowed you to enjoy such a great mix of Tortuguero, Arenal, Monteverde and Tamarindo within a limited time, and we truly appreciate your balanced comments. Regarding the waiting time for pick up on one occasion, please allow us to clarify that these delays can sometimes be caused by traffic conditions encountered earlier on the route (especially when collecting guests from different hotels). In all cases, our local teams are instructed to prioritise safety first and to drive responsibly and in full compliance with local traffic regulations, even if that means arrival times can vary slightly. With respect to accommodations, Costa Rica is a destination where not all hotels operate with an official star rating system in the same way as in other countries, which can sometimes create confusion when reviewing confirmations. That said, for your booking we did assign well known Superior properties, including Laguna Lodge in Tortuguero, El Establo in Monteverde, and your Hotel Tamarindo Diria In addition, one of the stays was confirmed as an upgrade, as part of our effort to enhance your overall experience whenever possible. Thank you once again for travelling with us and for your constructive feedback—it helps us continue refining both communication and on the ground operations. Warm regards, Customer Experience Team

Dear Katherine, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We would like to let you know that we have already reached out to you privately to review your case in more detail. As this reservation involves specific hotel policies and operational considerations, it requires a careful and thorough review that is best handled directly with you rather than in a public forum. Please be assured that your comments are important to us and that we are committed to reviewing the situation with transparency and care. We truly appreciate your patience and the opportunity to address this matter properly. Kind regards, Customer Claims Review Office

    Asked on June 18th, 2026

My arrival into San Jose at 6PM. Is that time ok for the transportation to hotel on this date? Same question on the departure. I have a 1:40PM flight out of San Jose. Will that departure time work for the hotel to airport transportation. Also, how do I ensure that all of the hotel accommodations on this tour will be close to activities and not require extra transportation i.e. UBER? There was a negative review about the long distance between hotel/lodge to restaurants etc.

    Tour Details
    • Destination Services Costa RicaOperatorWritten June 2026

Regarding your arrival, there are no time restrictions for transfers, so your arrival at 6:00 p.m. will not be an issue at all. Everything will be arranged smoothly for your convenience.

As for your departure, the transfer is private. Since you will be staying outside of San José, we will carefully coordinate your pickup so that you arrive at the airport approximately 3 hours before your flight. This means an estimated pickup time between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m., depending on the exact location of your hotel.

For the excursions, all hotels included in the program are already part of our operators' established routes, so no additional transportation will be required. When confirming your reservations, we always do our best to secure the hotel specified in the program or, if it is not available, an alternative of similar quality. In either case, we also take into consideration your comfort by selecting hotels that are conveniently located near restaurants or that offer on-site dining options.

Is the departure home out of San Jose Airport or is another airport?

    • Destination Services Costa RicaOperatorWritten June 2026

The tour starts in San Jose, Costa Rica, be Shure you buy Costa Rica, because there is another San Jose in California. The Airport name is Juan Santamaria. The departure flight must be after 4:00 p.m., because the tour ends in Guanacaste.
We have a second airport in Liberia, Guanacaste, in case that you could fine a departure flight leaving from this airport.

    Asked on June 9th, 2026

I am interested in this tour package and was wondering whether you have a similar itinerary but starting from Tamarindo since that is my starting point. If not, would it be possible to take the tour but skip the Tamarindo part since I will be in Tamarindo for 3 days and available to tour starting July 19th.

    Tour Details
    • Destination Services Costa RicaOperatorWritten June 2026

You mentioned that your starting point will be Tamarindo; however, we do not have information about your departure airport, specifically whether your return flight will be from Liberia or San José. This detail is key to recommending the best logistics for your trip.

Regarding this tour, an excellent option would be to reverse the itinerary and operate it without including Tamarindo, since you will already be spending time there. In this case, the program could be arranged starting in Monteverde, followed by Arenal, then Tortuguero, and ending in San José. From there, we can coordinate your transfer to the airport, either in Liberia or San José, depending on your departure flight.

Additionally, we offer other program options that both start and end in Liberia, which could be very convenient depending on your travel plans.

We are seniors, aging from 66 - 75. Is this tour strenuous for this age category or are most activities light to moderate? On day 10 it says a 4.5 hour drive to airport and arrives approximately 12 PM. If international flight departs at 3 PM, would we be there in time or would it be better to spend an additional night in San Jose prior to departure? If extra night, what would the additional cost be and would the transfer to the airport still be included? Also, how much would the hotel cost if arriving one day early? Are the additional services included in the tour fee or is there an additional cost? Can you give me a price for both 3 star and 4 star hotels please?

We're happy to let you know that this program is well-suited for seniors aged 66–75. Most activities are light to moderate, and guests are always given the option to take part at their own pace. Regarding your question about Day 10: since the return transfer to the San José airport is private, we can adjust the pick-up time according to your flight schedule. With a 3 PM international departure, there should be no need to book an additional night in San José, as we'll ensure you arrive at the airport on time. For the hotel cost of arriving one day early, may we kindly ask which dates you are planning to travel? Prices may vary depending on the season, so having your intended arrival date will help us provide an accurate quote. Please note that everything marked as 'optional' in the itinerary has an additional cost. However, the following services are included in the tour package: All monuments and visits as indicated: -Guided visit to Tortuguero village -Guided boat tour through Tortuguero National Park canals (including entrance fee) -Guided hike in Arenal Volcano National Park -Guided hike in Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve -Meet and greet on Day 1 -Hotel taxes. Once we have your travel dates, we will also be happy to provide hotel pricing for both 3-star and 4-star accommodation options.

I am planning a travel in November however I don't want to do the Tortugero National Park especially the boating. All your tours include the same. Do you have any tours excluding this, I will be happy to view the details as I really like the rest of your itenaries and the hotels included in the itenaries.
