The Highland Explorer: Skye and the Far North tour arrives back to Edinburgh Bus Station at approximately 7 pm on the fifth day of the tour.

For the August 27th departure, is the overnight accommodation for that day in Ullapool, and no accommodation is included/booked in Edinburgh beforehand?

On this tour, the first two nights are spent in Ullapool, followed by the final two nights in Portree. For the 27 August departure, the first night would indeed be in Ullapool. Unfortunately, we're not able to assist with accommodation in Edinburgh.

Is there a room share available on this tour, like with other companies?

There's no room share available so you'd have your own private room for the duration of the tour.

Looking to book a Rabbies tour through Tour Radar, but concerned the accomodation option for twin share is bnb's 20 -30 mins out of towns. Is this likely to be a problem in terms of seeking meals etc. thanks

B&Bs are traditionally small family owned and run properties offering a handful of guest rooms. They are usually residential properties, so they tend to be located on the outskirts of towns, and you should be prepared for a 20-30 minute walk to local facilities like pubs and restaurants. Local taxi companies operate in the overnight towns on this tour, so if you aren't up for a walk, you can call a taxi.

I am looking at your tours in Scotland. Interested in the 5 day Highland Explorer, but I also see the Best of Isle of Skye and Highlands tour. I can't find the difference in these 2 tours. Can you clarify the difference between these? I want to make sure I am not missing out on seeing something that one might have and not the other.

If the tour is not operated by Rabbie's, I'm afraid I can really comment on their differences, but if it is, I would be happy to highlight the main differences.

We are trying to plan a trip for 2027. We are thinking about 10-12 days. We would like to see Islay, Skye, Isles of Harris and Tweed, some of the beautiful highlands of Scotland and some of the standing stones, some of the NC500 if possible. The children might like to see The Horses sculpture, to roam around the standing stones and short walks through the highlands as well as some of your quaint villages.

We would like Rabbie's to book hotel accommodation. We would all like to be close together as much as possible and as close to the centre of town as possible.
