We do not offer a trip during the same time as the annual Jokkmokk market. At this time the small town of Jokkmokk is very crowded, this year the market had over 53,000 visitors during 3 days. Therefore we avoid this week since want to offer a genuine adventure with less tourists and have therefore decided not to run any tours on these dates.

This tour was wonderful! Our guides were very knowledgeable and friendly - and they kept us warm (we rented the recommended clothing, which was smart). Everything about the tour went very smoothly. There were six people in our group and we enjoyed getting to know each other. We visited with a Sami reindeer herding woman and got to hand feed some of her reindeer, we went on a dogsled ride, and we stayed a couple nights with a Sami man at his comfortable encampment. We skied across a frozen lake by his home, took a sauna, and rolled in the snow afterward. The Arctic is beautiful and different from what I'd envisioned. And we saw the Northern Lights on two nights - they are beautiful and awe-inspiring. It was the trip of a lifetime and my wife and I both loved it.Show more

By far the best holiday i have experienced. Wild Sweden delivered a seamless and really enjoyable tour from Lulea to Jokkmokk and back. All the gourmet meals, quality accommodation and unique experiences in the stunning North will stay with me as fantastic memories. From the initial sign-up through to the highly professional guides, Wild Sweden made navigating the Arctic terrain effortless and comfortable with advice and custom equipment for first timers like myself. I truly appreciated the relaxed environment on tour with our group - and the adventures we went on. Seeing the bright Northern Lights in clear view was the icing on the cake. Fantastic tour! - many thanks to Wild Sweden and to all those involved in providing such a varied and enjoyable itinerary, to our guide, Christian, and our hosts for our great accommodation and for feeding us so well. I learned so much about Sweden, the Sami community and the challenges they face, the culture and cuisine. Highlights for me were the campfire lunch, the heated lavvus (tents), the husky sled ride and of course seeing the Northern lights out on the frozen lake in Jokkmokk. But what made it all really memorable and special were all the people we met including the other guests in our party, with whom we bonded so closely.Show more

  As a solo traveller you can during the booking process, choose to add the following extras: Single room supplement for 1800 SEK. The single room supplement is mandatory if you travel solo. Please note that for the two nights in the tents, you may still be sharing with another person of the same gender if that is requested in the booking process. The deluxe tents are also shared accommodation.

  At the tented camp we offer two types of tents: standard and deluxe. Our standard tents provide a comfortable and homely atmosphere, while our deluxe tents offer an elevated level of luxury, complete with their own private bathrooms. The deluxe tents are in high demand, and to reward our early-bird guests, we offer a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe tent for the first 2-4 individuals to make a reservation. If you are traveling solo and are one of the first two bookings you will get the complimentary upgrade and have the tent to yourself.
