  Overall, this was a great tour that emphasized wonderful attractions in and around the cities of Ho Chi Minh City, Siem Reap and Luang Prabang. The tour guides that we had in each of these areas were superb, local guides that knew the facts and histories of the sites that we visited. All 3 had great communication skills, and were enthusiastic when presenting. They paid great attention to our needs throughout each day. Our thanks to each of them: Mr. Tuan in Ho Chi Minh City Mr. Sun in Siem Reap Mr. Vat in Luang Prabang In previous tours that we have taken, we have had a tour guide that was physically with us throughout the tour. Someone who stepped in to handle tickets, visas, transportation, etc. In this tour, the tour guide is not physically present, but rather was a WhatsApp contact that checked in once a day with instructions for the next day. Although this worked fairly well through most of the tour, I believe that his physical presence may have changed the circumstances we faced in our transportation between Ho Chi Minh City and Luang Prabang. It was a 2 part trip in which we took a nice, luxury bus from Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh. The second part of the journey that took us onward to Luang Prabang, however, was chaotic and frightening to say the least. After delays from the original start time, we were loaded on a 12 passenger van that was not equipped with a luggage space. Thankfully, it wasn't full, so we were able to put our luggage aboard. Our driver was not only a bus/van driver, but he was a courier as well. We made 3 odd stops along the way in which he would deliver and/or pick up a package. We also had a couple of country stops where he dropped off what we assumed to be family members or friends by the constant conversation they were having. One had a sick kid that we had to stop for twice as he was making constant retching noises from the back seat. To add to our delay, we also had to stop for a half hour to recharge the van as it was an EV. But, overall, his driving was frightening. We were going in and out of oncoming traffic constantly, aggressively pushing the limit when it came to passing other motorists. The overall time on this leg of the journey was 6 hours; 6 very unnerving hours. I would like to think that the tour company's plans were different than how it turned out.Show more

At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the unpleasant transportation experience between Phnom Penh and Luang Prabang. Your description of the delays, vehicle conditions, multiple unscheduled stops, and especially the unsafe driving concerns is very troubling to hear. This certainly does not reflect the level of comfort and professionalism we aim to provide to our guests. Please be assured that we take your feedback seriously and will review this matter carefully with the transportation provider involved to better understand what happened and to help prevent similar situations in the future. Despite this difficult portion of the trip, we are grateful that you still enjoyed the overall experience and the wonderful destinations visited throughout your journey.   This was better than I expected! Only two others on my tour, so we ended up getting the VIP treatment. Transport on tour days was in a smaller vehicle or private minibuses, with just us three, our guide, and the driver. All three of our guides in each country were knowledgeable, and had a passion for their countries, and knew all the shortcuts through the sights! With regards to how the tour operates, they organise and pay for your accomodation, the daily guided tours, and transport to any organised events. There are times when the tour group is unsupervised, eg: on free days, and when travelling between countries, which may be disconcerting for inexperienced travellers. All in all, I'm happy with the experience, the quality of the hotels, and quality of tour guides and transport. Will recommend.Show more

  “10 day tour” but should be accurately labeled as 6 days. Tour seemed unorganized and itenerary was not very clear or labeled which made it hard to plan out free days. You could easily have organized and arranged this yourself and saved a lot of money, essentially the tour is just giving you below average transportation from one spot to the next. Below is detailed review for all locations we visited. Vietnam: All that is included Day 1 is a ride to your hotel from the airport. Average hotel, breakfast included. Vietnam guide and itenerary were actually very good the following 2 days. Cambodia: “Day 4” was just a long bus ride on an out of date vehicle. The interary was very vague, no mention of how long the ride is, what time we would arrive, so we had no opportunity to prepare whatsoever. Good luck asking any simple questions as the guides spoke 0 English whatsoever. No meals were included. No mention or notice to make sure you grab cash was given. The border crossing was dodgy and took over 1.5 hours. Day 7: sit around and wait to catch a 4pm flight from Cambodia to Laos. No meals included, no suggested itenerary, not enough time to even call it a free day. “Day 10” is just a ride back to the airport.Show more

For all travellers' convenience, we give the first and last day are free day so that noone miss out any tour. We hope you understand that. 2. On the second page of your itinerary, we clearly state all essential information for your conference such as flight number, hotel check in/check out, room type, bus duration... Hence, your statement was untrue. 3. In related to no meal provided, we provided meals almost everyday except free days and flight/bus days. On the day from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap, you travelled by public bus (no guide) which we could not interfere and bring you to eat somewhere. Additionally, there were 2 stops during the journey for lunch break and dinner break for your convenience. We are operating independent tour in which tour guide does not follow you 24 hour and you arrange your own things on free days. Hope you understand that. 4. 4pm flight was a reasonable flight schedule. You did not need to wake up early for the flight and wait very long for checkin next hotel. We sent you to airport just an hour after check out time. Once arrive, you could check in your hotel without any delay. Besides, for all international flights, you have to be at the airport 3 hours prior to your schedule. Our apology as this tour is not as packed as your expected. This is a joined group tour and we have to create a acceptable tour for all age.

  We had 3 guides Duc in Vietnam, Phirn in Cambodia and Van Thong in Laos. All were excellent great to have truly local knowledge. At all times Hoi An Express transportation was on time, we were met with smiles. We would suggest that you use a different bus company for the trip from Saigon to Seim Reap, the bus was very old and uncomfortable, the seats were too narrow for “westerners”.Show more
