Hi Doreen, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We will be sure to pass on your comments to our transport team who take all feedback on board as they look to next years schedule. We are sorry for any miscommunication at check in, our check in staff work very hard to ensure that everyone gets to the right bus on time and with the right information. We will note this for any future check ins. Kind regards, Highland Experience Team

Hi Catherine, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the tour, driver and the new buses. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your time at The Crown in Stornoway. The hotel team have assured us that, whilst they cannot control the noise of a separate establishment, they do have ear plugs available and if requested they would endeavour to move guests to a quieter room. However, they have no record of you raising a concern directly with them. In regards to the further noise you could hear the hotel believes it was Seagulls, who are known to regularly land on the roof of the hotel. They do take all preventative measures available, however, being beside the harbour and in the town there is little they can do past this. Your comments will be taken into consideration to improve our future tours and your feedback has been passed to our accommodation team. We are so glad you were still able to enjoy the tour and we hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Scotland. Kind regards, Beth Highland Experience

    Asked on January 9th, 2025

What type of vehicle is used for this trip? Does it have lots of leg room for taller individuals and is it spacious for plus size passengers? Does the tour have a lot of walking?

    Transport
    • Highland Experience ToursOperatorWritten January 2025

Our tours are run on modern, luxury vehicles with a wide range of seating capacities, which will transport you in comfort and safety. They feature air conditioning, panoramic windows and reclining seats. They're the best way to experience Scotland! Our vehicles range from 7 to 35 seats. Please note that the number of passengers and vehicle size on your tour is dependent upon demand and availability. The amount of walking will be completely up to you. It will vary depending on each activity per day, however our tours are designed for everyone with a range of capabilities.

  • G

    Gail

    Asked on January 5th, 2025

Its not clear if the tour is fully guided or if you are dropped off at different places and explore on your own. Also, how much walking is involved.

    Tour Details
    • Highland Experience ToursOperatorWritten January 2025

This tour will be fully guided, with your driver/guide providing you with full commentary as you are driving and further information at each stop. You will also be given the opportunity to explore around the locations we visit. We make a number of different stops including longer stops where you will be able to explore at your own leisure as well as shorter photo stops. There is a moderate amount of walking involved in this tour; please be aware that whilst most areas are predominantly flat land, some historical sites may have uneven flooring or stairs. We aim to accommodate passengers of all mobility types and you are welcome to go as far as you are comfortable with, at your own pace when off the bus.

  • B

    Asked on November 26th, 2024

Was curious about this tour and if any adjustments could be made, like adding on a day or stop to St. Andrews specifically. And if private tours would be available for this for a small group and how the price would change. Also, possibly leaving from Glasgow instead?

    Price / Availability
    Tour Details
    • Highland Experience ToursOperatorWritten November 2024

We can definitely do a Private version of our Hebrides, Skye & the Far West tour - and yes, we can make adjustments or add days if you'd like to add any specific places to the itinerary. I will note that doing this itinerary on a Private Basis, we have to add a day (likely in Inverness) for a driver's rest day as they are legally required to have one after 6 days. Would you have 9 days? Or potentially more if you'd like to add St. Andrews?

    Asked on June 6th, 2024

I am the father of 3 children aged 17 to 24, and I would like to explore Scotland with them. So, there are 4 of us. The trip would be for a maximum of 10/11 days, between July 20th and August 2nd. We would prefer to be autonomous during the day, using trains or a rental car, with the nights booked in advance. We are not particular about accommodations. We are looking for adventure, a variety of experiences/meetings/activities, rather than the comfort of the rooms.
