  Can you kindly advise how much an additional night would cost for a 4 star accommodation if he were to arrive a day earlier, on the 5th of January?

  I am looking for a tour that visits Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and Vientiane. I found this tour that quite fits, but when I choose the single traveler option, the price is almost doubled. Is there any possibility for me to book the tour as a single participant, but receive a cheaper price?

    For tours in Laos, specifically, we often have fewer participants compared to other destinations. When a traveler books as a single participant, it generally means they will be traveling alone, which results in two main cost increases: Single Room Supplement: You are guaranteed a single room throughout the trip (no shared accommodation). Hotels charge a premium for securing a room for single occupancy, which is reflected in the price. Private/Semi-Private Services: Due to the lower volume of travelers, many of the services, especially transfers and sometimes city tours, often have to be arranged as private or semi-private tours for you to ensure the itinerary runs smoothly. This results in higher operational costs per person.

  Can you advise me the time the tour ends and how to get back to Chiand Rai on the 3rd February2024. And another question is - with which airline do you make the local flight on the secound day? Is it a safe airline?

    The tour ends on the 2nd of February, 2024. Transportation back to Chiang Rai on the 3rd of February is not included in the package. It takes about one and a half hours to travel from the border of Laos-Thailand to Chiang Rai downtown. You will need to arrange your transportation by yourself. We use Laos Airlines for the local flight, which is a safe airline.

    Can you let me know about the requirement for entering Laos? Especially now with Covid. We are fully vaccinated but still there are countries that have special requirements, and about the visa.

    Vaccination certificates are still required by the local authorities, but we expect that there will be no restrictions for travel to Laos in January 2024. You will be able to apply for a visa upon your arrival at the border.

  is it possible to book single accomodations throughout the tour? how one gets from the boarder at ChiangKhong to ChiangRai city centre (downtown hotels)?

    Yes, it is possible to book single accommodations throughout the tour. When you arrive at the border between Laos and Thailand (Chiang Khong), if you have booked the tour with a company in Thailand, they will pick you up at the border. Otherwise, you can take a public bus to get from the border to the downtown of Chiang Mai easily.

    We would like to suggest that if you are traveling as a solo traveler, taking a local bus may be the most economical and convenient option. Private vehicles can be quite expensive, and taking a local bus can be a great way to experience the local culture and scenery.

    does the tour ends at Chiang Khong (Thailand) or at Huay Xai in Laos? In the former case, what bus should I take to downtown Chiang Mai (I have seen there are routes named B routes, R routes, etc)? If the tour ends at Huay Xai should I cross the river at the border?

    The tour will end at HoueiSay, which is in Laos but across the Mekong River from Chiang Khong, Thailand. From the Border Gate, you can take the local bus to Chiang Rai Downtown easily. There are several buses available, and you can take any of the B routes or R routes to reach Chiang Rai Downtown.
