Vienna
You'll arrive in Vienna with the afternoon free to explore the city on your own. Later, you'll meet your Travel Director at a local restaurant for dinner, so you can settle in and get to know the group.

- Day 2
Vienna
A Local Expert takes you through Schönbrunn Palace and its formal gardens. From there, you'll drive around the Ring Road to see the Opera House, Hofburg Imperial Residence, Parliament Building, and Karlskirche. The rest of the day is yours to spend however you like, or you can join an optional evening waltz performance or visit a Country Mansion for classic Austrian food.

Vienna to Ljubljana
You'll cross into Slovenia and head to Maribor for time to walk around and get a feel for the city. Then you'll travel onward to Ljubljana, where you'll settle in for the next part of the trip.

Ljubljana
A Local Expert guides you through Ljubljana's Baroque architecture, including the medieval castle, City Hall, and Cathedral of St. Nicholas. The afternoon is free to explore, and in the evening you can choose from local restaurants for dinner or optionally visit Postojna Caves.

Your morning in Slovenia offers the option to visit Lake Bled or relax at a local cafe. Later you'll travel into Croatia and reach Zagreb, where your Local Expert walks you through the city to see the Art Pavilion, Academy of Sciences and Art, and Zrinjevac Park. You'll ride the funicular to St. Mark's Church and Lotrščak Tower, then walk back down through Stone Gate.

Plitvice to Split
You'll reach Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage site with Greek origins, to see the cathedral and Renaissance Cipiko Palace. Then you'll move on to Split, where your Local Expert takes you through the 1,700-year-old cellars of Diocletian's Palace and explains the history of this infamous Roman emperor. After walking the labyrinthine streets and arcaded squares to see St. Duje's and the Golden Gate, you'll have dinner at a traditional Konoba.
