  Disappointed that when the tour was created, the creators did not look ahead to realize it was holiday in Australia....
  Disappointed that when the tour was created, the creators did not look ahead to realize it was holiday in Australia. We were not able to do one tour planned event- Phillips Island/Melbourne. Which left the walking tour, interesting but not what our plan was. In Adelaide all side tours were cancelled because of holiday. We were left to find things to do in our own. No shops were open in many areas because of Good Friday. The designers of this tour should be aware of these dates and plan accordingly. I am sure time and schedule were included in the pricing of this tour and were were not given an option of monies back or credit. Our tour guide did her best to pivot the last days plan, which ended up with a lot of riding and long travels with no options from one point to the other. This was not the tour guide’s fault… poor planning from company from the start.Show more

We are genuinely sorry to learn of the disappointment you experienced during your recent tour, particularly in relation to the impact of public holidays on your itinerary. We understand how frustrating it must have been to discover that key planned activities, including the visit to Phillip Island from Melbourne, could not go ahead due to holiday closures. While the walking tour offered an alternative, we appreciate that it did not match your expectations for the day. We also regret that, during your time in Adelaide, all optional experiences were cancelled as a result of the Good Friday holiday, leaving you to make your own arrangements. We completely understand that this was not the experience you anticipated, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. Your comments raise a very valid point regarding the timing of the tour. Our itinerary planners do strive to consider local events and holidays when designing our journeys, but in this instance, it is clear that more thorough planning should have been undertaken. We are sorry that this oversight led to a diminished experience, especially given that these elements were part of the overall value and expectations associated with the tour. We are grateful for your recognition of your Travel Director, who did her utmost to adapt the itinerary in light of the circumstances. As you rightly note, the extended travel times and lack of viable alternatives during the final days of the tour were not due to her efforts, but rather a consequence of the initial planning. We acknowledge your concern regarding the lack of compensation or credit offered for the missed experiences. While our Guest Relations team reviews each situation on a case-by-case basis, we take your comments seriously and will be raising this matter with the relevant departments for further review. Once again, we extend our sincere apologies for the shortcomings you encountered. It is always our aim to provide enriching and seamless travel experiences, and it is deeply disappointing to learn that we fell short during your trip. We truly appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, and we hope you will consider giving us the opportunity to restore your faith in Trafalgar in the future.

  The choice of destinations, accommodations and meals were excellent. I greatly enjoyed the locations we visited, especially the drive around Kangaroo Island and the chance to walk around in the national parks, seeing koalas in their natural habitat and the furry seals on the beach. It was so nice that this tour planned in frequent stops in small towns for coffee breaks and time to walk around, so we could see Aussie life outside the big cities! And somehow Peter, our tour director, always managed to stay on schedule. He did a great job organizing our visits, giving background on the places we were traveling through, and superbly managed all the details so we could have a carefree vacation. Ashleigh, our driver, was also amazing. She handled our huge tour bus calmly and efficiently on difficult roads, (like the great ocean highway) that were winding and narrow, and expertly maneuvered through heavy traffic in the cities. They were a great pair who clearly enjoyed working together.Show more

  Overall, the tour was excellent. Delma and Darren were true professionals in keeping the group cohesive and on time. I reconned it to herding a bunch of cats, they have the patience way beyond what I have. The tour took in the sites and the little known places one would just drive past. Would definitely use AAT Kings for any future Australian tours for sure.Show more

  I went "solo", paid the single supplement, and felt the trip was very worth it The guide and bus driver were wonderful. They gave us detailed information about the raw natural beauty of the territory, as well as the colorful history of the locals. The cities we visited were beautiful, with lots of stained glass (my favorite) as well as ornate iron decorating balconies, windows, and ceilings. My fellow travelers were delightful.Show more
