Quito
You'll start in Quito, Ecuador's capital, which sits on ancient Incan ruins. The day includes a city tour where you'll cross the Equatorial line between hemispheres, then head to the Intti-Ñan Museum to learn how the equator works. It's a solid introduction to this UNESCO World Heritage Site and gives you a feel for the city.

- Day 2
Quito to Tena
After leaving Quito, you're heading into the lush jungle with nice views along the route. By afternoon you'll arrive in Tena, a popular spot for white water rafting. The town sits surrounded by vibrant hills and tumbling rivers, which is where you'll get to try the rafting if you're interested.

- Day 3
Tena
This day in Tena is yours to plan. You could grab traditional hot sugar cane and cinnamon drinks, or visit a local indigenous community to meet a shaman and play soccer with local kids to see how people actually live here. By evening there's a traditional feast with locally-sourced meats and fresh salads.

Tena to Baños

- Day 7
Baños to Galápagos Islands (Santa Cruz and Isabela)
You'll fly to the Galapagos Islands and land on Santa Cruz. After grabbing local food, you'll see giant tortoises in their natural habitat and check out lava tunnels. Later you'll take a ferry to Isabela Island where you'll spend the night in Galapagos National Park.

Landmarks Isabela Island - Day 9
Isabela Island to Santa Cruz Island
After breakfast you'll head to Santa Cruz for the day. Stroll down to Tortuga Bay where marine iguanas hang out and you can relax on the beach. The colorful streets have cute cafes where you can stop for fresh juice, and the island has sharks, rays, turtles, blue herons, and blue-footed boobies around.

Landmarks Tortuga Bay Santa Cruz Island - Day 10
Santa Cruz Island to San Cristóbal Island
You're sailing to San Cristobal, so watch for sea lions basking on rocks and beaches. Once there, you'll bike through four extinct volcanoes on mostly downhill routes. The route passes through El Progreso, crosses five different vegetation zones, and ends at La Loberia beach which has great views.

San Cristóbal Island
Your last full day starts with bird-watching, then you'll cruise to the iconic 143-meter Kicker Rock. You'll snorkel to see chocolate chip starfish and Galapagos sharks while being careful around the coral. After lunch aboard, you'll have an afternoon of more exploration before a final feast.
