  What is the price if I want to select a private room for the duration of the trip? Also, can there be airport pick up form Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok?

    An upgrade to a private room for the duration of this trip would be an extra $1,015 USD. An airport transfer would also be an additional cost of $55 USD.

  I was very interested in your tour, but I have a quick question due to one of the travelers having severe peanut, cashew and pistachio allergies. Would there be any accommodated meals and/or nut free options available?

    We can cater for allergies. Just let me know when a booking is made and I'll make sure that it's in the booking notes, and that the tour leader, and operations team are aware, so that we can put practices in place to accomodate the allergies.

    Will the conflict in Cambodia with Thailand affect the trip at all?

    This won't affect the trip. Our trips take you nowhere near the border of Cambodia. We are of course monitoring the situation closely to see if anything changes, but at this stage there is no disruption to anything anywhere near any of the areas that we visit.

    She is anaphylactic and it is life threatening so if she has anything to do with peanuts (even peanut oil) cashews and pistachios it will not go well. Just confirming that you are able to accommodate for everything and there will be no cross contaminations and she will be safe.

    Thanks for giving me more information on the severity of the allergy. That helps me understand it better. The difficulty is when you're in Asia, a lot of places use nuts/oils in most things.
    
    I've sent a message to our operations team this afternoon to try and find out whether we'd be able to safely accommodate for everything.

    Many people with severe allergies travel with us all the time, so it wouldn't be a first for us having someone with a severe allergy like this. They've very much said it would be down to being very prepared. For example, do you travel with an Epipen? If so, carry it at all times, and ensure that the tour leader and group know exactly where it is. In previous tours, tour leaders have had their own epipen to carry too just in case. The tour leader knows what to do in such incidents.
    
    The difficulty is, we can do our best, but the food preparation is out of our control the majority of the time. The local guide can of course speak to any restaurants to avoid any issues, but as we don't have a specific list of restaurants we deal with, it's often down to the customers and the group where they choose to eat on each specific day / night.
    
    We've just got to be realistic with it and say that our team will always do their best as always, but it's also the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all waiters know of the allergies for example. We can of course assist with allergies, but never be fully responsible if that makes sense.
    
    Our tour leaders in Thailand are all required to have some form of first aid and emergency first responder training too, if this helps with reassurance.
    
    The bottom line is, we can help, but we can't guarantee as some of the risks are passed on to the customer to communicate and be cautious too.

    Unfortunately not. All of our tours have a maximum age limit of 45 years old.

    our tours have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old. However, I highly recommend checking out our sister company, G Adventures! They offer a much wider age range, with tours suitable for travelers aged 12 and up. Please note that all travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. They have some incredible itineraries that are perfect for families.

    You can take a backpack or suitcase - whatever you'd prefer. We typically suggest a backpack as it may be slightly easier for you to move around with. But it's up to you.

    What are the available start dates around then? What would be the total cost in ZAR for a shared room vs a single room? What deposit is required now, and when is the balance due?

    For this trip, we have Dec 21, Dec 31 or Jan 3 which you can book on to. All balances are due by 60 days prior to tour so there will be no deposit option at this stage as the tour is so soon. The full balance is due to confirm your booking. We don't operate in ZAR. We can only accept GBP, EUR, USD, CAD, AUD, NZD so we can quote you in once of those currencies.
