    Asked on April 4th, 2024

I am really interested in booking this Asia trip (27days) either the 6th or the 13th. I would be flying to Bangkok from the UK Scotland. Do people usually have theie return flight home already booked before the trip? I have never done anything like this before and want to make sure that all my travel is organised before hand so its all paid for etc. Does someone collect me fro the airport on arrival?

    Tour Details
    • ContikiOperatorWritten April 2024

The distance from the hotel to the nearest airport at Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) is 21.6km. Since the trip is definite, travelers can book their own flights, as departure transfer is not available. On arrival we offer a chargeable transfer from airport to hotel. Contiki tours have an age restriction, and participants are required to be between 18 to 35 years old.

      TravelerWritten April 2024

I am looking at applying for a visa as I may plan to stay in Asia after the 27 day trip. I have read that you do not require a visa for 30 days or under. Can I ask how I go about applying for a visa to stay in south east Asia for longer. Aprox 40days. If I arrive a day early is it still possible for me to stay in the allocated hotel (obviously at a cost). I want to make sure I am there a day before the trip starts to make sure I get there on time.

    • ContikiOperatorWritten April 2024

You may apply your visa through this link. We can arrange a pre-hotel accommodation for you, which will be the same hotel as on the first day of your trip. However, to set your expectations, please note that we can't guarantee that you'll be in the same room during the trip and pre-stay, as it depends on the hotel's availability and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

    • ContikiOperatorWritten December 2023

You'll miss some activities that require riding a bicycle, you can inform the Tour Manager while on the trip that you are unable to join these activities. There are no special arrangements for a gluten-free diet unless the guest has a gluten allergy. We can put a note on the booking that the guest would like a gluten-free diet.

As far as we know, a lot of the Asia countries are lifting their travel requirements, the trip is still scheduled to operate. You need to be fully vaccinated in order to join a Contiki trip, if any quarantine were to arise, we would not be operating or would offer alternate destinations.

    Visa
    • ContikiOperatorWritten January 2022

Visas are super important and are essential for entering certain countries. It's up to you to be responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to your trip' departure date. We recommend checking with your embassy or consulate for up-to-date visa requirements. Please keep in mind visas can take a while to process and a fee is normally charged. We recommend applying as early as possible to ensure you receive your visa on time.
