To prepare a tailored quotation, we first need to confirm a few details, as the following criteria must be met for a private group departure: • Minimum group size: 4 passengers (Exceptions: USA, Canada, Australia & New Zealand – minimum 10 passengers; Europe – minimum 6 passengers, as per our brochure) • Minimum lead time: 12 weeks prior to departure • Minimum tour duration: 5 days (4 nights) • Tour type: The trip must include a tour leader (either fully escorted or locally led) • Minimum age: Generally 5 years old

What is the maximum number of people on your tours?

For this particular trip, the maximum group size is 16 travellers, with departures operating with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 16 participants.

On Day 2 in Tangier, will there be somewhere to store our luggage while we explore the city? And is it ok to bring a large check-in suitcase on the tour?

Yes, there will be a place to store luggage on Day 2 while you're in Tangier! I believe this gets put on the vehicle you'll be taking to Chefchaouen that same day in the afternoon giving you the freedom to move about the orientation walk and exploring Tangier on your own without your luggage being dragged alongside you. For the sizing of the luggage, trains can get busy at peak periods, so we'd recommend packing lightly and compactly to make sure you can get on and off the train easily and quickly. You'll need to be able to handle your luggage through busy train stations. And it's best to pack lightly even due to the space in vehicles. If you're comfortable navigating around with the large suitcase and have other travel planned before/after, that's fine. However, we always do recommend to keep to a standard medium sized suitcase or smaller just for your own comfort.

What would the cost be to arrive one day early for this tour?

One night of pre accommodation at the trip starting point hotel Hotel Al Walid, Casablanca in a single room is USD 60.

We are interested in this trip as well as a trip to Egypt after, 4 days possibly via boat on Nile. Would you be able to combine 2 trips? 6 adults looking at March 2027.

While we understand you are looking for a 4-day Egypt extension, unfortunately this would not be possible under our Tailor-Made programme, as it requires a minimum duration of 5 days / 4 nights. At this time, we also do not offer short-break or 4-day standalone trips in Egypt that can be combined with another tour. If your plans are flexible and you are able to consider a longer Egypt itinerary (5 days or more), we would be happy to review this option for you. Otherwise, you may wish to arrange the Egypt portion independently.

For a majority of the time the tour itself was good. The route was good and we saw many must do things in North Morocco. However, for instance, we went by train to Tangier, only had time for lunch there then left. No sightseeing in Tangier. The accommodation was not up to the required standard at all. I would have expected at least 3 star accommodation, not the 2 star that we dealt with on a couple of occasions. I paid for a single supplement, but in Meknes had to share because of the single women policy at the home stay. Intrepid should have informed me of this before I booked so I could make an informed decision. The tour guide could have been more tolerant to some peoples concerns. For this reason I wont recommend this tour to any of my friends who are keen to do a short trip to Morocco.Show more

Ideally I would give this 3.5 Stars, it was a good trip, but was let down in a couple areas. Firstly while the itinerary looks excellent, Casa is really just a meeting point and a dinner at an average restaurant which would have been empty if not for our tour group. More than one of the restaurant experiences on the tour left us all in want… The tour itself did not really get going till mid way through the next day as we approached Tangier. So a bit of a nothing day one. Secondly the hotel was very average, in fact this continued to the experience for most of the trip. Back searching hotels after the trip revealed we’d mostly been booked in 2 star hotels, the cheapest on Booking.com, no fridges or safes in them, with firm beds. None had even a queen bed, double or 2 single beds for a couple… I don’t expect luxury, but at least night in a semi decent place would have been welcomed by all in our group. I would have happily paid a few more dollars if they specified a couple nice hotel stays. It means more than a decent room, it means a decent breakfast instead of boring pancakes and jam with a boiled egg nearly every morning… Don’t get me wrong, we still loved Morocco and I think intrepid put together an overall good tour in small groups and our guide was fantastic. But they let you down in a couple key areas. For instance they also booked us on 2nd class trains from Fez to Marrakech, a 7 hr trip…we all spoke up and paid our guide Hamza ( good guide) to upgrade us to 1st class where we would be squashed with our luggage. It’s was only $15AUD or 9€…it should have been included, at that price. And while others great having a local guide join us in each town, it resulted in a lot of repetitive information about Moulay Idris, his legacy, the local mosques and burial houses and very little time to actually Peruse the Medinas and soak in the local vibe of the towns…and dare i say time to shop. We were often speeding through Medinas going from one point of interest to the next. On our last day we asked Hamza our guide to cut the local guide time short so we could at least do some wandering around the Medina in Marrakech… One thing that was amazing was the night atmosphere in Marrakech marketplace or Medina, so even though it’s not something the guides seem to want to take you through, maybe cause it’s quite hectic they don’t want to be trying to keep a group together, insist your guide waits a few minutes while you soak it in and have a little peak around all the musicians and entertainers Intrepid is still good but if they could tweak things a little on the tours they could be great experiences. And by the way, they don’t take Australian dollars in Morocco, change to Euro or US before you go because you will need some cash there. Intrepid didn’t tell us of the currency situation, would have been helpful if they did…Show more

  Fitness level & desired trip pace = Ideally, not too fast and not too slow. We do want see a lot of stuff but we don't want to be constantly on the go to a new city or location all the time. Ideally, the major cities we would like to see include Tangiers, ChefChaouen, Marrakesh, Fes, Rabat.

  Rooming configuration - Ideally Four rooms with 2 double bed of queen size mattress - basically 8 queen size mattress. Comfort level - We are not looking for 5 star hotels but something clean and refreshing. Comfort level 4, 3.5, 3 are good. If you can let us know the price difference that would be great.

  We did an Indian trip with same driver throughout but local guides at each stop which was perfect so something similar would be great.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before November 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Intrepid Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
