Back in 1989, two guys from Melbourne, Australia by the names of Darrell and Manch set off on an adventure to the other side of the world. They travelled to Africa and without air conditioning on their modified truck, they filled it with supplies, some beer, a bunch of aviator sunglasses, and some friends. On that trip, they came up with the idea that perhaps others may be interested in this style of travel too. Just like that, Intrepid was born. The last day of this tour is a departure day. As there are no activities planned, you are able to depart Santorini and the hotel (Albatros Hotel) at any time.
To return to Athens: There are regular flights from Santorini Airport to Athens (depending on the season, between 3 and 7 flights daily). The flight takes approximately 1 hour. - When and where does the tour start?
This tour starts at Attalos Hotel in Athens, situated in the historic district of Athens, ideally located for sightseeing. Your adventure officially begins with a Welcome Meeting at 6 pm on Day 1 of the tour.

- Do I need a visa?

- I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?
A single supplement is available for this tour at an additional cost if you would prefer your own private room, however, this is completely optional. Intrepid allows you to be paired in accommodation with another solo traveller of the same gender if you don't mind sharing.
- Do you arrange airport transfers?
Airport transfers are not included in the tour price but can be pre-booked at an additional cost.
If you choose not to book an arrival transfer, there will be taxis readily available at the airport. Alternatively, you can take the metro line 3 to Monastiraki Metro Station. From there it is a short 2-minute walk to the hotel. - What is the age range?
The minimum age requirement for this tour is 15 years old, which means that infants and children under 15 years of age are not allowed to join this tour. There is no maximum age for this tour.
