- AAAdrian· February 13th, 2018My wife and I have recently returned from a truly excellent 18-Day "Best of Vietnam and Cambodia." The group of fourteen comprised British, Australian, South African, Canadian and New Zealanders, ranging in age from late twenties to 70. Fortunately, the younger element was able to keep up with the older ones and, in spite of the wide age-range, the group melded perfectly - we frequently chose to dine together. We are experienced travellers and have usually organised our own trips. We thought we knew what we wanted to see in South-East Asia but, when we read Intrepid's itinerary, we couldn't improve on it. There are too many highlights to mention in a brief review but the standard of our hotels, the variety of modes of transport, the seamless organisation, the opportunities for visiting places which we would never have found for ourselves and, most of all, the enthusiasm and competence of our two local guides all deserve mention. One does not need to be "intrepid" to enjoy this trip but normally independent travellers need not fear that they will be herded in a large mob. You will want to participate in all of the visits and activities and there is enough "free" time in which to explore on your own. However to give you an idea about the accommodation, you will be staying 1 night in a homestay, 13 nights in hotels, 1 night on an overnight boat and 1 night on an overnight sleeper train.

The first day of the tour is just an arrivals day so you can choose to arrive anytime, however, there is a welcome meeting at 6pm at the starting hotel (Nouvo City Hotel) where you can meet your group leader and fellow travellers.
Please be aware the starting hotel is subject to change until your final documents are released.

Once you have a confirmed booking please contact our customer support team to arrange airport transfers for you at an additional cost. If you decide to purchase an arrival transfer you will be met after exiting customs by an Intrepid representative who will take you to the starting hotel, however, if you wish to make your own way to the hotel, metered taxi ranks are located outside the airport entrance.
