A flight will be provided and included in the cost to get you from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh. Depending on flights confirmed for the group you will have the afternoon of day 9 and morning of day 10 in Ho Chi Minh city.

Is there a hotel list available?

As all accommodations are subject to change until 4 weeks before the departure date, Intrepid is unable to provide a hotel list. However to give you an idea about the accommodation, you will be staying 1 night in a homestay, 13 nights in hotels, 1 night on an overnight boat and 1 night on an overnight sleeper train.

When and where does the tour end?

The tour ends on the last day at Cosiana Hotel in Hanoi, as there are no planned activities on the last day you can feel free to leave the tour at any time and either continue your travels in Hanoi or head to your next destination! Please be advised that all accommodations are subject to change until your final documents are released.

My wife and I have recently returned from a truly excellent 18-Day "Best of Vietnam and Cambodia." The group of fourteen comprised British, Australian, South African, Canadian and New Zealanders, ranging in age from late twenties to 70. Fortunately, the younger element was able to keep up with the older ones and, in spite of the wide age-range, the group melded perfectly - we frequently chose to dine together. We are experienced travellers and have usually organised our own trips. We thought we knew what we wanted to see in South-East Asia but, when we read Intrepid's itinerary, we couldn't improve on it. There are too many highlights to mention in a brief review but the standard of our hotels, the variety of modes of transport, the seamless organisation, the opportunities for visiting places which we would never have found for ourselves and, most of all, the enthusiasm and competence of our two local guides all deserve mention. One does not need to be "intrepid" to enjoy this trip but normally independent travellers need not fear that they will be herded in a large mob. You will want to participate in all of the visits and activities and there is enough "free" time in which to explore on your own. Judging by this, our first experience of Intrepid Travel, we can wholeheartedly recommend them.Show more
