    Asked on May 27th, 2026

I am 80 years old, active, but prefers to avoid long walks. Could you please confirm if this tour would be suitable for me, or suggest any modifications that might be needed?

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten May 2026

Overall, this itinerary is possible for active senior travelers, but I would honestly say there are several parts that may be challenging if long walking is a concern.

The main issue is not really the sightseeing itself, but the amount of walking involved at some historical sites and natural areas.

      For example:
Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan includes around 2 hours of walking/hiking on uneven paths with rocks and slopes. This is probably the most physically demanding walking part of the trip.

In Uzbekistan, cities such as Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand have many old-town areas with uneven stone streets, steps, and large walking areas. Even though the sightseeing is very rewarding, there can be quite a bit of walking during the day.

In Turkmenistan, the Darvaza Gas Crater area also involves walking on sandy and uneven desert ground, which may feel tiring for older travelers.

In addition, this itinerary includes frequent hotel changes, border crossings, and airport transfers, which can also become tiring over time.

And since this is a group tour, the tour pace and activity can not be adjusted according to special request. And there is no age restriction for joining the tour, but I would kindly recommend that you evaluate whether the pace and walking involved would be comfortable based on your own physical condition and travel experience.

      TravelerWritten June 2026

Right now I'm looking at your 15 day Tashkent to Bishkek tour. My main focus will be photography. Would this suit me? Also, I'm probably going as a single so could you let me know the cost for me. I would be willing to share with another male if he would be willing.

    • UME Travel Co. LtdOperatorWritten June 2026

Yes, this itinerary is indeed well suited for photography — it allows you to experience authentic local culture, and capture beautiful scenic views along the route.

May I kindly ask which departure date you are planning for this tour? I would like to check the availability for other travelers as well. At the moment, we have another client scheduled to depart around 13 August who is also open to sharing a room. However, before I can confirm anything with him, I would need to know your travel dates first.

Once I have your preferred dates, I will check the matching options for you and coordinate accordingly.
