Itinerary
- Day 1
Luxor
Start your day in Luxor heading to the Valley of the Kings, where you'll walk through royal burial chambers carved into the desert rock. After spending time there, drive over to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Dir El Bahari, built into the cliffs and one of the most distinctive structures from ancient Egypt. Later, stop by the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues that sit alone in the plains. Then make your way to the Temple of Luxor in the city center and spend the afternoon wandering through its courtyards and columns. End the day at Karnak Temple, a sprawling complex that'll give you a real sense of how important it was as a center of worship for centuries.
