- Day 1
Casablanca
You'll arrive in Casablanca, Morocco's largest city, and settle in for the evening. After checking into your accommodation, head out to see the Hassan II Mosque, which sits right on the Atlantic coast and is one of the country's most recognizable landmarks. Then walk through the old medina, where narrow streets and traditional shops give you a real feel for local life. Spend the night in Casablanca.

- Day 2
Casablanca to Rabat
Drive inland to Rabat, Morocco's capital, about an hour north. Start at the Kasbah of the Oudaya, where you get views out over the Atlantic and the Bou Regreg River. From there, you'll see the Royal Palace grounds and check out the Hassan Tower, an incomplete minaret that's been standing since the 12th century. It's a city day with good historical sites but less chaos than the medinas you'll see later.

- Day 3
Rabat to Chefchaouen
Today you're heading to Chefchaouen, the blue city tucked into the Rif Mountains. The drive takes several hours, but once you arrive, you'll walk through the distinctive blue-painted streets with a local guide who knows the neighborhoods well. You'll see the Spanish Mosque and Outa El Hamam square. The blue color comes from a traditional paint, and the whole place has a different feeling from the busier cities you visited before.

- Day 4
Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
Spend the morning in Chefchaouen exploring any areas you missed the day before. Then head toward Volubilis, a UNESCO site with Roman ruins that sit on a hilltop with nice countryside views. You'll stop for lunch in Meknes, a traditional imperial city, and then continue on to Fes for the night. You'll be staying in a riad, which is a traditional house built around a central courtyard, much more personal than a standard hotel.

- Day 5
Fes
Dedicate your whole day to Fes, Morocco's oldest imperial city and its religious heart. You'll walk through the medieval medina, which is actually a maze of streets and passages. Tour the Bou Anania and Attarine Medersas, which are old Islamic schools with intricate tile work and carved cedar. You'll see the entrance to the Qarawiyyin Mosque, one of the oldest universities in the world, and spot the Nejjarine fountain. The souks here are among the best in Morocco for leather goods, metalwork, and textiles. Come evening, head back to your riad for dinner and rest.

- Day 6
Fes to Merzouga
Leave Fes early and drive south through the Middle Atlas mountains. You'll pass through cedar forests near Ifrane and Azrou, then continue through Midelt and the Ziz Valley. During the drive, stop at palm oases and old kasbahs, taking in the changing landscape. By late afternoon you'll reach Merzouga, where the Erg Chebbi dunes start. From here you'll take a camel trek into the dunes to watch the sunset, then sleep in a desert camp under the stars.

- Day 7
Merzouga to Dades Gorges
Head out from Merzouga in the morning and pass through Erfoud, known for fossils and date palm groves. Continue toward Tinghir, where you'll follow the Todra River into the Todra Gorge. The canyon walls there are really tall and close together, creating a dramatic setting. After that, you'll drive through scenic valleys past Berber villages and reach the Dades Gorges. The road winds a lot and the rock formations along the way are unusual. You'll spend the night at Dades Gorges.

- Day 8
Dades Gorges to Marrakech
Drive through the Rose Valley in the morning, passing fields and small villages known for their rose production. Continue to Ouarzazate and then head to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO ksar with traditional earthen buildings stacked together in a fortified layout. After exploring, you'll cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, which offers panoramic mountain views. You'll arrive in Marrakech by evening.

- Day 9
Marrakech
Spend the day taking in Marrakech's culture and history. Tour the Bahia Palace, which has detailed rooms and courtyards, and see the Saadian Tombs where sultans are buried. Walk through the Menara Garden with its reflecting pool and olive groves. Check out the Koutoubia Mosque, which is the largest mosque in the city. Then head to Jamaa El Fna Square and explore the local souks selling everything from spices to textiles to souvenirs.

- Day 10
Marrakech to Casablanca Airport
Depending on your flight time, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you back to Casablanca Airport. The drive takes about three and a half hours, so you'll need to leave early enough to catch your flight. This wraps up your 10-day trip through Morocco.
