Accra
You'll arrive at Kotoka International Airport and head to your hotel in Accra on your own. The rest of your day is open, so you can either settle in and relax or check out Accra's nightlife with your guide if you're up for it.

- Day 2
Accra
Start at the National Museum to learn about West African culture and history, then move on to the Black Star Gate and Independence Square. From there, head to Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and browse handcrafted items at the National Cultural Centre. After lunch, take a guided walk through Jamestown, the oldest part of the city, where you'll see Fort James and its lighthouse while learning about the area's boxing history. Finish with dinner and live music at a local bar.

Accra to Lome
After breakfast, visit the DuBois Centre, where the Pan-Africanist is buried. Then travel to Lomé to explore the Grand Marché and see the Gothic German Cathedral. Stop at the National Museum of Togo to check out ethnographic and artistic collections. You'll also have the option to visit the Akodessewa fetish market and artisan village to see traditional crafts and spiritual practices.

Lome - Togoville - Ouidah - Cotonou
Take a boat across Lake Togo this morning to Togoville, an important center of Voodoo culture, and visit the Maison Royal and active shrines. Then continue to Ouidah, known as the birthplace of Voodoo, where you'll tour the historical museum and the sacred python temple. You'll learn about the transatlantic slave trade and visit the Portal of No Return before heading to Cotonou for the night.

Cotonou to Ganvie to Lome
Travel to Ganvie, a unique water village built entirely on stilts across Lake Nokoué. Spend the day at a relaxed pace, trying local fishing techniques with residents. Have a fresh fish lunch, then return to Lomé for a low-key evening.

Lome to Akosombo
After breakfast, return to Ghana and arrive at your riverfront hotel in Akosombo in time for lunch. Once you check in, take a gentle river cruise to watch local fishermen at work. Later, tour the Akosombo Dam, the hydroelectric project completed in 1965 under Dr Kwame Nkrumah. The evening is free for you to relax by the scenic Volta River.

Akosombo to Kumasi
After a relaxed breakfast, visit TK Beads to learn about the Krobo tradition of bead making. Continue to the Aburi Botanical Gardens and check out the nearby craft village known for wood carvings and African drums. After lunch in Koforidua, travel through the Akuapem Hills and arrive in Kumasi by evening.

This morning visit UNESCO-listed Ashanti traditional buildings decorated with symbolic Adinkra motifs. Travel to Adanwomasie, the heart of Kente weaving, and to Ntunso where artisans make Adinkra cloth. Learn about the meanings behind the symbols and traditional weaving methods. After lunch, tour Manhyia Palace, seat of the Ashanti Kingdom, then visit the National Cultural Centre and its craft market.

Kumasi to Cape Coast
After breakfast, drive south toward the coast. First, you'll stop at Assin Manso, a significant site on the slave trade route where enslaved Africans were bathed before departure. Then visit Cape Coast Castle, one of the major fortresses of the Atlantic slave trade, and walk through the Door of No Return. After, continue to Cape Coast or Elmina for the night.

- Day 10
Cape Coast
After breakfast, head to Kakum National Park to experience its famous canopy walkway high above the forest. Then proceed to a local village for a traditional African Naming Ceremony, where chiefs and elders give you an African name based on your birthday, with drumming and dancing.

Cape Coast to Accra
After breakfast, visit Elmina's Castle of St George, the oldest surviving European building in sub-Saharan Africa. Explore the local fishing market and watch boat builders at work. In the afternoon, return to Accra where your tour ends. Plan your international flights for late evening, and consider staying in Accra tonight with post-tour accommodation.
