The departure in Paris is early morning on July 18, if you'd like to join on 17, the option is to add a pre-accommodation, so that on 18 morning you don't need to go to the joining point and you will be picked from hotel directly. The cost of pre-hotel is 150EUR. The arrival to Rome will be 20th's evening, and drop-off point is the group hotel, it may not locate in downtown but can be in outskirts. Alternatively you can choose to take 4 days so that on 21st you can have the city tour with group and the finish point will be downtown on 21st, which would be convenient for you. Let us know how would you like to proceed. To start from Rome till southern Italy, the next available departure date is Jul 28, because we only have one departure per week in each city.

  That's fine if it's in the outskirts of Rome - any idea what city or how far it may be from Rome Centro? Leaving on the 21st for the southern Italy trip would be fine. We could just switch our days in Rome to the end of our trip rather than between the trips if it's only offered on the 21 and 28

  We would skip the pre hotel in Paris because we'll be arriving on the 12th so make arrangements from the 12th to the 18th ourselves, but I will still think about the pre Trip accommodation so that we're at the same hotel we depart at the next morning or convenience.
