  This trip has been a wonderful experience exploring this beautiful part of Spain. The first week of experiencing the best of Spanish cuisine was a highlight. Javier chose excellent restaurants every day and introduced us to the beautiful flavours of Spain. The Pilgrim experience in the second week was a “once in a lifetime” challenge. At first the prospect of walking 120 km was challenging but Chris’s guidance saw us through. Great hotels. Great food. A trip well worth doing.Show more

  Chris curated an extraordinary experience for our group from Queensland Ballet. Our aim was to bring like-minds together to enjoy an adventure unlike any other and thanks to Chris, Javier and the Climbing Mountains ethos, we were not disappointed! The Camino is deeply personal but also all about a greater connection beyond ourselves. Chris and Javier thought of everything, not only with safety at heart but also with consideration of each person's needs and hopes. From the restaurants (a mix of Michelin and local champions) and the cultural highlights to the walking tips and the relaxed lunches waiting for us, Chris and Javier left no stone unturned. We started our journey as individuals and ended as a bonded family, walking into Santiago de Compostela as one, having shared extraordinary cuisine, culture, challenge, celebration and camaraderie.   A wonderful Tour that meant we could experience the Camino with the combination of vehicle travel, sightseeing, a history journey along the pilgrim way, a chef supported culinary experiences , as well as walk the Camino Way for the last five days and experience a challenge that was so well supported and organised, both on the walk as well as for the more luxury phase . The itinerary and places we visited and toured, offered once in a lifetime type experiences for me personally in terms of the dining and truly luxury food experiences , as well as the sightseeing and a variety of opportunities to bond as a group, as we entered Camino walking days which were amazing. I felt well cared for in terms of organisation, and encouraged and advised along the way so my husband and I could achieve our goal of completing the walk. excellent TourShow more
