Itinerary
- Day 1
Santiago de Compostela to Sarria
Land at Santiago de Compostela Airport by 3:30pm and meet your group in arrivals at 4:30pm. From there, you'll take a coach to Sarria, a medieval hilltop town where your Camino walk begins. Once you arrive, walk through the old quarter with its narrow cobblestone streets, check out the 13th-century castle ruins, and see the beautiful Romanesque Church of Santa Marina.

- Day 2
Sarria to Portomarin
This morning starts with a 22-kilometre walk through eucalyptus forests and rolling farmland. You'll pass the hamlet of Ferreiros and reach the famous 100-kilometre marker, a significant waypoint where pilgrims traditionally paused knowing Santiago was just three or four days away. By evening you'll arrive in Portomarin, a medieval village that was relocated in the mid-20th century, now featuring narrow streets and the attractive Romanesque San Pedro church.

Landmarks San Pedro Church - Day 3
Portomarin to Palas de Rei
The walk begins by crossing a reservoir via a beautifully preserved disused railway bridge. Later you'll pass the 80-kilometre marker near Castromaior and visit Casa Carneiro, a medieval inn that once welcomed royal pilgrims including Emperor Charles V in 1520. You'll conquer the final high pass at 722 metres with sweeping views, then descend through eucalyptus groves and Galician stone crosses (Cruceiros) to reach your accommodation outside Palas de Rei.

Landmarks Casa Carneiro - Day 4
Palas de Rei to Melide
Today's walk takes you through idyllic rural Galicia along gently undulating terrain past traditional stone farmhouses, grazing cattle, and patchwork fields. You'll pass through ancient oak groves and eucalyptus plantations before crossing an atmospheric medieval bridge with four weathered stone arches to reach Melide, famous throughout Galicia for its octopus preparation. That evening, stay in a typical Galician farmhouse and try a traditional dinner featuring locally-sourced ingredients.

Landmarks Medieval Bridge at Melide - Day 5
Melide to El Amenal
You'll see many 'horreos' (traditional Galician barns) dotting the countryside as signs increase showing you're nearing Santiago. After crossing the River Iso, you'll arrive in Arzua where the Camino Frances and Camino del Norte converge. The town is also known for its soft cheese. Check out pilgrim sites including Guillermo Watt's memorial and Santa Irene Chapel with its statues of Saint James before arriving at El Amenal.

El Amenal to Santiago de Compostela
This final day takes you into Santiago de Compostela. You'll pass through Lavacolla, where pilgrims traditionally washed and changed into their best clothes for the last stretch. Ascend to Monte Gozo where the cathedral comes into view in the distance, just five kilometres away. Spend the final hour walking alongside thousands of pilgrims, sharing the emotions and sense of achievement before reaching the cathedral and claiming your 'Compostela' certificate.

- Day 7
Santiago de Compostela
A local guide takes you through Santiago de Compostela, starting with a visit to the magnificent cathedral, the final and most iconic stop of the Camino and the reputed resting place of Saint James the apostle. You'll explore important local squares, churches and buildings around the cathedral. The afternoon is yours to wander the city's narrow streets, find architectural treasures, and try local food and wine.
