Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Rose Valley
You'll start early from Marrakech and head over the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n'Tichka Pass, stopping at Berber villages and valleys along the way. There's an optional visit to Ouarzazate if you want to break up the drive, then you continue into palm groves toward the Valley of Roses. Once you arrive, you'll meet your trekking guide and do a short afternoon hike to get acclimated before settling in for the night at a Berber guesthouse.

Rose Valley Trek
This is a full day of trekking through the Rose Valley where you'll see traditional villages, rose fields, and walnut and almond groves interspersed with dramatic gorges. You'll visit Boutaghrar, a traditional village with kasbahs and cave-dwelling nomads, and your guide prepares a picnic lunch for you along the route. After lunch you continue on through terraced fields and along the river, then stay overnight with a local family or at a guesthouse depending on availability.

Rose Valley to Marrakech
In the morning you hike deeper into the valley where you might encounter nomadic families living in mountain caves, and you'll take in panoramic views of the valley and surrounding peaks. After an early lunch, you head back to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the Atlas Mountains, arriving by evening.
