    Emma

    Asked on February 7th, 2026

What is the fitness level required for participation, considering the activities such as canoe paddling and hiking?

    Tour Details
    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten February 2026

Overall, the physical condition needed is not very demanding. The jungle walks are relatively short, lasting approximately 40 to 50 minutes each. There are no significant altitude changes between points, and these walks are better described as light hiking rather than trekking. They are designed to be enjoyable and accessible for those with an average fitness level. Regarding the canoe activity, it is not physically demanding either. Guests use lightweight, easy-to-handle paddles, and the paddling sessions are not long. Additionally, a motorized support canoe is always accompanying the group. If at any point you feel tired or uncomfortable, you can comfortably transfer to the motorized canoe and continue the journey from there. Throughout the tour, you will always be accompanied by a professional guide who will set a relaxed pace and ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe. On Day 4, there is a longer journey of approximately 4 hours by canoe; however, this is done in a motorized boat, allowing guests to sit back, relax, and enjoy the surrounding nature and landscapes without physical effort.
