We enjoyed all of it apart from Sapa, a lot of the places felt like tourist traps, where it was more about taking photos than actually experiencing the place. That being said this was a great tour to see heaps of the north of Vietnam and even thought sapa wasn’t for us I’d still recommend this tour!Show more

The tour itself was amazing, pick ups and drops, tour guides all ran perfectly. The sights were well thought out, we had had very busy days but also ample downtime to explore further or rest. So I never felt as if my battery ran out. (I think) Up Travel Vietnam, coordinates with local tour companies, so on adventures; people/groups from other agencies would get joined together for the day tour. This was really good as we got to meet new people along the way and sometimes even meet them again a few days later on a different tour where we could catch up and share stories of our adventures. We explored so much, it's hard to pick a favourite adventure. But the Ha Long Bay cruise was definitely up there, great food, fun night, scenic. I'm actually keen to do the tour again.Show more

Halong Bay cruise was very interesting and we both managed to walk the 700 steps to see the amazing cave. The private SUV to Sapa was an excellent drive, unfortunately our driver couldn't speak English but he was an excellent careful driver. Our tour guide Sumay was terrific and caring, guiding us around. The cable car was amazing but the climb proved too much for us but our son and daughter- in-law managed to get to the top.   How much extra would it cost to get a limousine bus from Sapa back to Hanoi (instead of the sleeping bus), just so we have a little more time in Hanoi on that day of the tour?

  If you would like to upgrade to a limousine bus from Sapa back to Hanoi instead of the sleeping bus, the additional cost would be USD 50 in total. However, the limousine buses from Sapa also operate on fixed schedules, so they normally arrive back in Hanoi at around 9:00 PM. Unfortunately, this wouldn't give you much extra time to explore Hanoi that day. If your main goal is to have more time to relax and enjoy Hanoi, I actually have a better suggestion. I can customize the itinerary so that you spend 3 days in Sapa first, followed by 2 relaxing days with an overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay. With this arrangement, the cruise finishes at around 2:30–3:00 PM in Hanoi, giving you the rest of the afternoon and evening to explore the city, do some shopping, or simply relax before your flight home the following day.
