  The tour stops were well picked out and the local tour guides were all excellent. The cities we saw and the locations we toured were overall good, which gave a rating of good. However there were many missing details which prevented a rating of excellent. One stop had a palace and free time and if we wanted to tour the palace we had to get a ticket and go on our own rather than a guide here which seemed missing. The driver was so helpful and an excellent driver. The small details in itinerary were missing - like addresses of hotels, time picked up each day, the time we would walk each day or the length on walking for those that needed to know, the length of tour in each place, the time back at the hotel each day, planned restaurant breaks. Better restaurant recommendations on meals without the guide, water available on the bus, better meal offerings while traveling for hours between cities, such as in a city vs. at a gas station cafeteria, having hotel reservations all set up and handed our keys rather than all waiting in line for hotel check-in all were expected based on other small group tours taken and not provided. The overall guide's English was very hard to understand by most in attendance and information about cities and what we were passing was missing rather than vague descriptions which the tour guide read off her phone. We ended up looking up information about what we were seeing on our phones either because we couldn't understand or it just was not offered. Details she gave about the trip if not written in the What's Up App were missed because of the language barrier.Show more

  There were fabulous highlights but also serious disappointments on our tour. Definitely some improvements could be made. Firstly the demand for cash payments is inexcusable in this day and age. The cash payment requirement raised concerns for us . We felt the explanation provided did not align with our experience during the tour as the tour used a credit card for all but the caravanseri. The documentation referred only to payment in euros. Euro is a currency. Cash is a form of payment. It was horrendously expensive to have to convert the inflated amount to cash and this needs addressing urgently. Soured the whole experience. The hotels were only just okay and certainly not the advertised 4star. The food at the Cappadocia hotel was abysmal. Inedible, in fact. But the itenerary and the sights were fabulous and we loved the country and the places we visited. Our guide Gurkan had a great sense of humour and was always very cheerful. The bus was very comfortable and we were thankful for the charge points wifi and water provided.Show more
