Sofia
After you arrive and check into your hotel, the day is yours to explore Sofia on your own using the CosmosGO app. There's plenty to see at your own pace before meeting up with your Tour Director and travel companions in the early evening.

- Day 2
Sofia
A Local Guide takes you through Sofia's main attractions, starting with the Parliament building and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. You'll also see the National Theater, St. Sofia Church, and finish with Boyana Church, a medieval Bulgarian Orthodox structure and UNESCO World Heritage Site that's really worth the trip.

Sofia to Belgrade
You'll cross the border from Bulgaria into Serbia today, heading toward Belgrade. The capital sits on a white ridge (which is actually where its name comes from), and the drive itself gives you a sense of the landscape and region you're entering.

- Day 4
Belgrade
A guided tour covers Belgrade's main monuments including Novi Beograd, Ada Bridge, Topcider Park, and Tito's Memorial. You'll also see Parliament House, Terazije, and Kalemegdan Fortress. After the tour, there's free time to wander around further on your own.

Belgrade to Budapest
First stop is Novi Sad on the Danube River banks, where you'll see the Petrovaradin Citadel and walk through the town center. Then you head to Budapest, with an optional Danube cruise available if you want to see Parliament, Fishermen's Bastion, and Castle Hill from the water, plus refreshments included.

- Day 6
Budapest
A guided tour shows you the Opera House, Saint Stephen's Basilica, Parliament, Royal Palace, and Matthias Church. You'll stop for photos at Heroes Square and the Castle District. The afternoon and evening are free, so you can head back out to explore more of the city on your own.

Budapest to Cluj-Napoca
You drive through the Hungarian countryside and cross into Romania, heading to Cluj-Napoca, which is known as the film capital of Romania. A panoramic city tour happens along the way to your hotel.

Cluj-Napoca to Brasov
Sighisoara is your first stop, a medieval town with 11 towers inside city walls and winding cobblestone streets. Local legend connects it to Vlad the Impaler, the real person behind the Dracula story. From there you continue to Brasov, another medieval town with a square known for its Baroque architecture and outdoor cafes.

Brasov
You drive to Bran to tour the legendary Dracula castle, built in 1377 and connected to Vlad the Impaler. Back in Brasov that afternoon, there's a walking orientation of the Old Town, including the Black Church, followed by free time to do your own thing.

Brasov to Bucharest
The route takes you to Sinaia in the Prahova Valley, a ski resort sitting about 3,300 feet above sea level. You'll visit Sinaia Monastery and Peles Castle, often described as one of the more romantic castles in the region. Then you continue on to Bucharest with its tree-lined boulevards and flower-filled parks.

Bucharest
The main part of the tour centers on the Village Museum, an outdoor collection with traditional farmhouses, cottages, windmills, and workshops from different parts of Romania. Your Local Guide also shows you Government Victoria Palace, Royal Palace, and Savings Palace. There's an optional visit to the Romanian Parliament building if you're interested.
