  1. Day 1

    Stockholm

    You'll arrive in Stockholm and pick up your rental car at the airport. Head to your hotel and then spend the rest of the day checking out the city at your own pace. There are plenty of museums and attractions within walking distance of the city center, so you can wander around and get a feel for the place.

  2. Day 2

    Stockholm to Linkoping

    This morning you'll explore Stockholm on your own, then drive south toward Trosa, a town known for its wooden houses and riverside promenade. After that, you'll continue to Linkoping for the evening. The route takes you through the Sormland Archipelago region, which has around 2,800 islands and nature reserves to see along the way.

There's also an elk park if you want to stop there before reaching your hotel in Karlskrona for the night.

You'll stop in Halmstad for a relaxing lunch by the Nissan River mouth, and then head to Tylosand beach for a Swedish summer afternoon. Later, explore Gothenburg on your own, checking out the Fish Hall, Avenyn avenue, and the Haga artist quarter.

    Visit the island of Marstrand, which is a popular seaside resort on Sweden's west coast. From there, head to Lacko Castle in Vastergotland, which sits in a romantic location. You can explore the castle's surroundings and have a picnic in the large green areas before driving to Orebro for the evening.

  7. Day 7

    Orebro to Stockholm

    Spend the morning in Orebro having coffee by Lake Hjalmaren and, if you'd like, visit Orebro Castle. Drive to Mariefred to see Gripsholm Royal Castle, which sits by Lake Malaren and was expanded by King Gustav Vasa in 1537. After that, head back to Stockholm in the afternoon and take an included canal tour from Stromkajen. You'll pass iconic buildings and enter the peaceful Djurgarden Canal.
