Itinerary
- Day 1
Tirana - Kruja - Shkodra
Start your day in Tirana with a walking tour that covers Skanderbeg Square, the National History Museum, Et'hem Bey Mosque, and the Pyramid of Tirana. After that, you'll drive about an hour to Kruja to see Skanderbeg Castle and walk through the traditional bazaar there. Grab traditional Albanian lunch in Kruja, then it's another 2-hour drive to Shkodra. Once you arrive and check into your hotel, you'll have free time to wander around on your own before heading out for a traditional dinner.

- Day 2
Shkodra - Koman Lake - Valbona
Bring a packed breakfast because you're starting early and eating on the way. The three-hour ferry ride across Koman Lake is the highlight here, with emerald waters and steep cliffs surrounding you the whole time. You'll arrive at Valbona Village in the valley, then either walk 20 minutes to Kukaj Village or take a 4x4 if you prefer. After exploring, return to Valbona with the rest of the day free. Dinner at your guesthouse features organic, farm-fresh local ingredients prepared the traditional way.

- Day 3
Valbona - Thethi
Eat a hearty breakfast at your guesthouse and pack light items like water and lunch since horses will carry your larger bags. The hike from Valbona to Thethi takes about 6 hours total, starting with a steep climb to Valbona Neck at 1,820 meters where you'll stop for lunch with panoramic views. From there you'll descend gradually into Thethi, a hidden alpine village surrounded by waterfalls and peaks. Check in and explore at your own pace before dinner, which features fresh mountain herbs, grilled meats, and homemade bread.

- Day 4
Thethi
You'll do two hikes from Thethi today. First, walk about an hour to Theth Waterfall through rivers and pastures, though the final 15 minutes are challenging. Take a break there for lunch or just to relax. Later, head to the Blue Eye, a natural pool in the Black River with clear blue-green water roughly 3 to 5 meters deep. The trail to the Blue Eye is easier and accessible, with optional swimming depending on the season. Get back to the village with time to rest before traditional dinner and your overnight stay.

Thethi - Shkodra - Tirana
After breakfast in Thethi, you'll drive to Shkodra passing through beautiful Albanian countryside as the Alps transition to the peaceful area around Shkodra Lake, the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula. Once there, you can take an optional boat ride or walk along the shore. The drive continues through rolling hills to Tirana, arriving by afternoon. You'll have free time to check out Skanderbeg Square, the Pyramid of Tirana, the National History Museum, Et'hem Bey Mosque, and the Blloku area, or just relax before your tour ends.
