Helsinki
Your Arctic adventure kicks off in Helsinki. If you're arriving early, there's plenty to do before heading to your hotel. Walk through some of the local museums and galleries, check out the restaurants in the area, or catch some time at a traditional Finnish sauna if you're interested. The Design District is worth a wander if you have energy left. You're all set with your included hotel for the night.

- Day 2
Helsinki to Longyearbyen
Head to the airport this morning and board your private charter flight heading north to Longyearbyen on Spitsbergen. Once you land, you'll have time to walk around the settlement and get oriented before your ship departs. From the water, you'll start catching those first views of the island with its jagged mountains and glaciers reaching toward the sky.

Landmarks Longyearbyen - Days 3 - 9
Spitsbergen Expedition Cruise
The next few days involve cruising around western Spitsbergen and exploring the fjords up close. You'll move through areas ranging from polar deserts to massive glaciers while the Expedition Team keeps watch for polar bears, walrus, and other wildlife. Sites like the 14th of July Glacier, Smeerenburg, Phipps\u00f8ya, Alkhornet, and Hinlopen Strait come into view. Each day brings new opportunities to spot Arctic animals, see unique rock formations, and find abandoned historical locations from earlier settlements.

Longyearbyen to Helsinki
Time to say goodbye to your Expedition Team and fellow travelers as your ship returns to Longyearbyen. The frontier-style settlement has that distinctive character worth soaking in one last time. From there, you'll transfer to the airport for your included group charter flight back to Helsinki.

Helsinki
After breakfast, you have two options. Head straight to the airport for your onward flight home, or if you've arranged it ahead of time, stay behind and explore Helsinki on your own. The capital has plenty of culture and character worth discovering if you decide to extend your time.
