You'll arrive in Montreal and head to your hotel to settle in. This evening, your Holiday Director will meet with the group for a welcome meeting to get your Canadian adventure started.

Montreal to Quebec City
Start by checking out Montreal's key sights, beginning with the historic old port area along the St Lawrence River. From there, visit Notre Dame Basilica, which has intricate wooden carvings and stained glass windows throughout. Later you'll travel to Quebec City, a 400-year-old fortified city where La Citadelle fortress dominates the landscape.

Quebec City

In the afternoon, head to the Huron-Wendat Museum to learn about the heritage and traditions of the Huron-Wendat Nation.

Quebec City to Ottawa
Head into Ontario toward Ottawa, stopping at an authentic Quebecois Sugar Shack to try traditional Quebec cuisine. Once in Ottawa, take a walking tour of the capital city, visiting Confederation Square, Parliament Hill, the Sparks Street pedestrian mall, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. By evening, explore the historic ByWard Market with its pubs, cafes, and restaurants.

You'll have free time in Ottawa to explore on your own pace, with Rideau Hall recommended if you want to see the changing of the guards. Travel to Rockport and board a boat cruise through the 1000 Islands landscape with its cottages, estates, and castles. The day ends in Kingston, Ontario, Canada's former capital and now a waterfront city.

After that, you have a free afternoon to visit the beautiful beaches on Lake Ontario, the zoo, the country's largest aquarium, or head to the top of the CN Tower for panoramic views. The markets in Old Town are another option if you prefer.
