  How much does an additional night at the start hotel cost before the Sri Lanka Experience begins, and which room category is included in that price? I noticed the hotel offers basic, standard, and standard sea-view rooms.

    Pre-nights are £50 per night for a private room on our Sri Lanka Experience tour. The rooms are usually the sea-view rooms, however on occasion the standard room styles are booked.

    If you arrive the day before your trip begins, that's absolutely fine! We can arrange an extra night at the starting accommodation for you, and you'll still be able to get picked up from the airport!

  what are the ages in this trip? how many females and males? Also its important to me to mention that i am from Israel and i want to make sure that no politics is involve in this trip..i dont want to feel uncomfortable with antisemitic comments

    Currently on the 7th September we have 8 bookings - 2M + 6F aged 20-30 :)
    
    Our group leaders never encourage political conversations, and they'll always steer things back to the experience if anything starts to feel uncomfortable. Their focus is on creating a welcoming, respectful environment for everyone.
    
    Because it's a group trip, we can't ever 100% guarantee what another traveller might say, but in reality it's very rare for politics to become a topic. Most people are there for the adventure, the culture, and the shared experience, especially on our Sri Lanka trips, which tend to be really friendly and relaxed.
    
    If anything did make you feel uncomfortable at any point, your group leader is there to support you straight away. You can speak to them privately and they'll handle it sensitively, including addressing behaviour or adjusting arrangements if needed.

    At the moment we don't have any travellers from Israel booked onto the September Sri Lanka departure. The group is currently made up of people from the UK, Canada, Germany and Australia, though this can change as more people join.
    
    We get people from all over the world on our tours, so you'll get to bond with a wide range of travellers who all share that same passion for adventure!

    I would to do this trip on Sep.
    Because I want to continue to Arogam bay. Do you recommend? I heard that it's best to be there in Sep and not after that...

    Arugam Bay is definitely a popular spot around July to September, especially for surfing, as that's when the conditions are at their best. After September the weather can start to shift as the east coast moves towards its wetter period, so it's not usually considered peak season.
    
    That said, plenty of travellers still head there outside of September - it just depends on what you're hoping to do. If you're mainly going for surfing, September is ideal. If you're more interested in the beaches, chilled cafés and exploring the area, you can still enjoy it later in the year, just with a higher chance of rain.

  How many people already booked the tour so far and from which countries? And with how many people do we share a room at night?

    So far we have 7 bookings, all are females in their 20s & 30s, and all solo travellers. The nationalities are Australian, German, Austrian and British! If you are travelling solo, the standard rooming allocation is to share with one other traveller of the same gender and similar age, but we also have the option of a private room upgrade for €600 EUR.

    Our trips are designed specifically for travellers aged 18–40s and we have a maximum age limit of 49. This isn't based on attitude, fitness or ability. It's simply about maintaining the trip style and group dynamic that our travellers come expecting.

    We can certainly look into the possibility of a private room for you. However we do room you with someone of the same gender (excluding multi-share accommodation) and try our best to room you with someone of a similar age. Also Group Members are in their hotel rooms for a very limited time throughout the trip, as there are activities most days and things planned most evenings.

    The airport transfer is included for travellers staying at the group hotel from arrival. If you are flying out early and need us to book you any pre-tour nights we can get that sorted for you. If you're staying elsewhere, we just ask that you meet us at the hotel on day 1 of the tour instead.

    We stay at Hotel J in Negombo. If you are arriving before the start date we can book as many extra nights as you need at the tour accommodation. Even if you arrive a couple of days early, the airport transfer will be still be included if you're staying at Hotel J. If you choose to stay elsewhere, you can simply meet us at Hotel J on Day 1 instead. There are no activities on the first day but the group gets together in the evening for a welcome dinner at around 7pm.

    If you have the time for an extra few days before or after the tour, that's great! The South Coast has many exciting places to explore! The Sri Lanka tour ends in Mirissa which is on the South Coast, so it may be a good idea to stay on after the tour ends for your extra days. We have plenty of solo travellers that spend time before or after the tour exploring the incredible country with no problems at all!

    Thanks so much for your prompt responses and for assurance. I am looking at mid February as I believe it's a good time to travel in Sri Lanka. The accommodation are 4 or 5 stars? And when do i have to decide before it's too late?

    You'll stay in a variety of amazing accommodation whilst on tour. Whether it's a beachside resort, an Eco retreat or a modern hotel with a rooftop pool overlooking the city! The hotels will be 3 or 4 star hotels, in a twin share as standard. However, a private room upgrade is possible if you'd prefer (subject to availability).

    The accommodations are set for our tours therefore we're unable upgrade to other hotels. The cost to upgrade would be an additional $950 AUD.

    It's an easy/moderate difficulty level, if there is anything you don't feel comfortable doing you won't be pressured into doing it though :)
