This is a very difficult review to share. While we enjoyed the new bus/coach, and our driver was outstanding. However, the tour of Scotland was not as we expected. The itinerary seemed to change with the weather, we were not sure exactly where we were going, nor when we would have time for meals. We were continually told that we were "lucky" to be on the tour because it was "added" and that's why we had so many changes. We were told that the hotels were booked 2 years in advance, and since our tour was "added", we should feel "very fortunate" that we even had clean hotel rooms, and that hopefully everyone would understand if the toilets didn't flush or the showers didn't drain (which they didn't). Questions were not welcomed, and we were never quite sure where we were going, nor when we would eat during the day. Also, there was a flu/cold illness that spread throughout the group. Many of the travelers needed to purchase medications, but most days we did not arrive to our destinations before all the stores closed. There was almost no free time to explore, and a couple of the days we drove the entire day - on roads that were clearly marked "not for bus/coaches". We were taken to many out of the way hotels, then had to back track the next day on the same roads to get to our next destination. Scotland was great, the Scottish people were so friendly, and there were so many wonderful villages and towns. Unfortunately, this tour did not do justice to Scotland. Many of the accommodations were substandard and the extremely long days riding on the bus were not consistent with the brochure/advertisement for this tour.
