Marian· July 20th, 2025We had a fantastic tour with Ismael from TourRadar. He picked us up at our riad in Marrakech and drove us through the beautiful countryside surrounding the Atlas Mountains. We saw a lot along the way and stopped at beautiful spots. The highlight was the camp in the Erg Chebbi desert where we spent a night. There we also enjoyed a magical camel ride and a quad bike tour through the desert. Although the distances covered in a day were quite substantial, it was easily manageable with some background music and pleasant conversations with Ismael. After the 3-day tour, he promptly dropped us off at our next accommodation. We began by crossing the majestic Atlas Mountains, winding through dramatic valleys and charming Berber villages. The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking, and our guide shared fascinating stories and insights about the local culture along the way. As we made our way into the Sahara, the scenery transformed into golden dunes and wide-open skies. The camel ride into the desert at sunset was a true highlight—peaceful, surreal, and incredibly beautiful. Arriving at the desert camp felt like stepping into another world. The camp was comfortable and welcoming, with delicious traditional food, music by the fire, and a sky full of stars at night. Waking up to the silence of the desert and watching the sunrise over the dunes was a spiritual moment. Every day brought something new—whether it was exploring hidden oases, enjoying tea with locals, or simply taking in the vastness of the landscape. This trip was so much more than just sightseeing—it was a deep, immersive experience that connected me to the land, the people, and the rhythm of the desert.
